I must say this quickly became one of my FAVORITE Christmas songs...... until five minutes ago, when I discovered that it is actually an Irish Hymn... called Be thou my vision..... was it made clear on his cd that his was an adaptation?? I feel a little cheated... BUT don't get me wrong, I still love the song, the artists and will continue to listen with pleasure.

Hi! Maybe somebody allready answered you. The song is about the longing for somebody and the plead of him/her not just passing by.

It's about how the heavens (rain mixed with snow in the late winter/early spring) fall down on us all, and how you can have everything, even te world and moon but still have a heart that calls out for someone to step inside.

"Men hjärtat det flämtar; gå inte förbi" = but the heart faintly calls out; don't pass by

Or perhaps the translation "don't pass me by" better catches the essence of the song?

And actually it's not all swedish, the first little part sung by Sissel is norweigan. ;)

Ha! I thought that was what was going on. Some of the Swedish sounded more than a bit strange, but I'm not that strong in the language any more. It did seem more Norwegian than Swedish in places.

Min gamla lärare Ulf Shagerström har skrivit denna låten. Till Peter Jöback han har skrivit de flesta låtar till Svenska kändisar. Det är rätt coolt endå ^^

Jag förstår vad du menar men han har inte skrivit denna låten riktigt. Han har "endast" skrivit denna svenska versionen som de sjunger. Det är en mycket gammal irländsk folkmelodi som sedan en lång tid tillbaka haft en engelsk text "Be Thou my vision".

Men han har gjort en jättefin svensk text. :)
