Without these animals the folks that make their living in Agriculture couldn't survive. The animals at rodeos are revered and well taken care of.
I don't know exactly what you folks that whine about animal cruelty eat, but at the end of the day, end of the line, these beasts are for us to raise and kill to nourish our families. Find something better to do with your time than save the world.
It felt like a bit of time warp attending this Rodeo both in terms of treatment of the animals as well as the announcers references to "girls" or "little ladies" for grown women flag bearers on their horses. I'm pretty confident that rodeo participants and attendees think they are taking excellent care of the animals and they only experience a little discomfort - but it truly looks quite painful to me.
I didn't editorialize in my original posting but I generally agree about rodeos being cruel and unreasonable for the animals - and frankly for the humans but at least the humans have a choice.
I strongly advise everyone to find out more about rodeo cruelty. That's right, these animals are being abused. Don't deny it, the proof is right here. The broncos are in pain from a buck strap around their sensitive flank, which makes them buck-rider or not. Proof? Watch the horse continue to buck after the rider is thrown. Please, I ask you to keep an open mind and find out more about rodeo cruelty. Please don't support the rodeo. MZ's comment proves my point further.
yall shoulda seen the mexican rodeo in reno 2006 ..OmG it was crazy big ol fight broke out and men started shooting.. At the end one horse died and he fell on top of his owner.. it was sooo crazy!
