Everyone in the world knows Keats, but ironically, not many, even in Aligarh Univ. whose Anthem is written by him know him today. How Unfortunate? bohat khoub qandeel ji!! i'm trying to collect my memories , My brother gave me this cassette in mid 1990's and contains few other great ghazals of him. i'm very surprised coz he hardly sings difficult poetry and hindi speaking population must have hard time to understand this ghazal.

wish duration was little longer , " 3:02 te tufaan barpa karan da shukriyya " mukhda of this ghazal is wonderful, great presentation and its break time in kitchen. thanks for sharing.

Han some urdu words , were hard for me also to understand and had to ask my brother. He translated some words for me, which I added here. in the info.

But , the poetry is so so beautiful , it really touches my heart every time I hear it.

Ustaad ji ek din aapke video ko equal ker k dikhaunga,magar beat kerna bohat mushkil hai, you keep raising the bar with each upload that's not fair grrrr. Your choice of pics are stunning & this is the best ghazal of the maestro Jagjit Singh. Majaz conveys similar message through this eloquent poem. So soft, so calm, and yet so powerfully penetrating. A beautiful piece of literature attaining levels of melancholy perfections.

And Jagjit's melodies always create an astounding effect. That wondrous effect is clearly evident here.

Great message at the start, In-fact the voice of every heart which was half-died after hearing the worst news his tragic demise, Including me.

I myself was shaken badly & cried badly like a child, that I did not when My Darling Father Passed away in my own hands two years back. May ALLAH put Him in the best place in HEAVEN.

One my most favorite Ghazal of Jagjit Sir. One again you won my heart with the excellent presentation and brilliant pics. (Cont`d)

@aziee4u Its hard for me to decide, which was more moving your comment or the fact that Jagjit Singh is no more. Both are heart breaking. The loss of a dear one , is sometimes so great , that it takes all your life ,to realize that he is not here with us . I myself, lost my father a couple of years ago :( , and miss him daily. :(
