@3screamingkids Actually, nowadays people (by which I mean academic researchers in the field of music) think that music from this period was probably embellished quite a lot in performance, particularly when material is repeated in the course of a piece.

Horowitz once said that one should play Chopin like Mozart and play Mozart like Chopin. Zimerman definitely maxed it out here! (which is awesome)

my fav pianist playing one of my fav Mozart... i hope he'd come to the US again!!!

Although Horowitz was a great pianist, what he said was wrong. I would say Mozart should be played like Mozart, and Chopin ought to be played like Chopin.

It's amazing how much time he can take (especially at cadential slurs and the forte to dolce changes) and yet the flow seems far from being hampered...

I think that comes from the deep understanding of the acustics of both his piano and the concert hall where he's at.
