Davies and Moffet confirmed this, when they said that although we see River die in Forest of the Damned, she COULD very well die in her stories with the Doctor at any time.

@MyTubeVersion3 No, he wouldn't. He's already retconned almost every major Earth VS Alien arc that happened before the Big Bang (since the Big Bang ERASED most human encounters with aliens, up to that point, from existence. He's under no obligation to rewrite a story if time itself is rewritten.

@MyTubeVersion3 Someone's dense. The only people who would have any memory of the Doctor, or any of the retconned events are those who are considered anomalies in time AKA, Time Travelers.
I thought Doctor Who fans were smart enough to put two and two together, not having to have their hands held.
Especially since The Death of the Doctor, and Torchwood: Miracle Day (both of which happen AFTER The Big Bang) show his previous companions still remember him.

Although it doesn't matter because like Wilde says, Fiction is for amusement and it doesn't have to be based on logic or moral beliefs.By the way, I do not consider my self as a fan of the doctor or anything because of the fact that fan's have to be loyal and support their subjects ALL TIME and that sometime causes extreme verbal or physical violence especially Hockey fans,wrestling fans.
Granted, it was just hinted at, but Doctor Who suggested that Harkness lives at least until the Sun goes nova, at which point he's known as the Face of Bo.
