I love the 3loop-3loop from the 1997 Champion Series Final! I could watch it all day. The pop-up and quick rotation is amazing. Please, no haters here. This is about my amazement, not your ability to be cynical. "A cynic knows the price of everything, but the value of nothing."
@BmcC102 Yeah, I always wonder how she was able to have a full rotation on them. She had to rotate very fast considering her poor height. Slutskaya had something like three times higher jumps than Tara but sometimes she had probemls with full rotation on the back end of her triple-triples. I think the only Tara's combo which wouldn't have been ratified is the one from 1998 Nationals.
I doubt some of those triples would have been ratified. Tara's jumps were tiny and she would have been nailed the same with Sarah Hughes in SLC IN 2002.
@dsfddsgh They were tiny indeed but height isn't what meke your jumps ratified or not. It's about roatation and even though her triple-triples were tiny they were still in most cases rotated enough to have been given the credit what makes it even more amazing considering her poor height. And some of those extremaly triple loop-triple loops were FULLY rotated. The girl was amazing.
@Seresu1 I think her jumps are clearly fearless, risky, and she doesn't hold back. She desreves credit for that. However as I watch them now, there is clearly an immmature quality in the jumps and It's amazing to watch how graceless the jumps are and lacking the artisitc quality compared to Michelle Kwan and a host of other lady figureskaters right now. I wonder how these jumps weigh against the current generation of figureskaters. Thanks though. Great video compilations!
@QBrettQ Recently I've had no time because of school but next week I think I'll be able to finish video with Mao's triple axels and Yu-Na's triple-triples. Then I'm going to make video with Joannie's triple-triples. I have also new, much bigger version of Miki's quads almost ready to uploading :).
It is amazing that she was able to jump like that with so little height.

In the current IJS, height and distance of a jump play a major role in the GOE. Jumps need not just full rotation, but beauty as well.
