The "big red button" wasn't. It was a white button applied to the shirt with red thread. (On the original costume.) Imagine, as an action figure painter, trying to paint *thread*. . .I can forgive CO for trying rather too hard on this point. What is more disappointing is the omission of the curved side-back seams on the back of the Davison frock coat. Also missing are the buttons where those seams meet the waist line seam (a detail typical of coats upon which the Fifth Doctor's was based.)

CO (and their disciples) are quite self-righteous. I've heard of artistic temperament, but they seem to want to stir up discontent. Honestly, I think they release the standard figures without basic accessories so that they'll be able to release variations as exclusives.

DanielNeedham2500, I admit JNT was good in choosing Peter, Colin and Sylvester for the Doctor, but I feel he messed up Tom's last year by killing off K9 and Romana and changing his costume because Tom really hated his last outfit and why he didn't like JNT.

I admit JNT did come up with some wacky ideas but all in all he gave us three smashing doctors in the 80's. The guys at CO should be given packet of celery to eat for a week

One of the best reveiws i've seen and you are so right i was so furous when i found out peter davison was'nt going to have his celery and now silvester mccoy is'nt going to have his hat and umbrella, why not give him his umbrella and do what they did with the tom baker give silvester mccoy a swapable head withe the hat on and one without, instead of not giving him the hat and umbrella at all, fuck sake !

Another great review and rant! Bit silly about that decision in my opinion. They could have asked a few of the fans or collectors to see if they wanted celery or not but atleast it came with the Time crash set version. I also noticed that on the 5th Doctor figure's card you can see the celery just behind where it says "The 5th Doctor"!

Excellent rant...sorry, review! I love the opening titles - very reminiscnet of the Early Years videos. However, I feel I must protest in the strongest possible terms about the below the belt Dapol insult! Surely every Doctor Who fan knows that Dapol's Tom Baker figure was based on the one iconic scene in 'Image of the Fendahl' in which he stands for two minutes at the console with no hat or scarf! Hooray for Dapol!

I love Dapol too! When I was little I didn't care how they looked, they were Doctor Who figures and that was all that mattered! But for the context of my rant I thought it had to slip it in. If CO ever release a classic console room I will make sure to mention the five sided console and when McCoy is released I will note Dapols assortment of umbrella's in every colour imaginable (well at least Dapol's had an umbrella).

i just brought the time crash figure and the normal and cut off the celery so i vould put in on and remove and i customated a hate aswell due to the lack of CO not makeing 1 i think they should releas them all but wearing diffenert customs

Thanks! I love the early years soundtrack, its about six minutes long so I shortened like the videos missing out the introduction which is like three minutes long, but sounds really cool. I've been plannig to sculpt some removable celery but haven't got round to it yet, they're easy to do as I made one for my fifth doctor custom years ago out of milliput, but the thing is we shouldn't have too! It's part of his costume!!!

1. I'm annoyed by the non-existant celery, that celery for me was a vital part of doctor who, if he didn't have that celery he would have died in The Caves Of Androzani!

2. And imagine a seventh doctor without the hat or umbrella! For God's sake CO!

Thank you! The prototypes are used in the title sequence for the classics Doctors. Most sites that sell the figures use the prototype image rather than an image of the actual toy.
