This is such a deep song. It reminds me of the time i graduated from HS and went right into college. I didn't have my same guy-friends anymore because i went to a women's college. Everytime i hear this song, it reminds me of the times i sat around with my mixture of friends, i missed them like the deserts missed the rain. Now that i'm graduating college, i'll miss my college friens like the deserts miss the rain too....tear tear

This song makes me feel very melancholy because it reminds me of girl I worked with and was very much in love with (she never knew it, though), and then she went back to school and moved very far away. I always wondered what happened to her and I would sometimes drive by where she used to live, but never saw her again.

Our thing was bound to end, but the song fills me with melancholy and regret whenever I hear it. Part of the allure is that it is sung by a woman in a truthful, naturalistic style. It packs a wallop.
