To say that the Romans did not actually kill any person by execution is ridiculous. They were professionals. No person survives that type of punishment when executed to their standards. If Jesus somehow did survive, he would have surely died when left to lay in a tomb without medical care by himself. Extra-biblical sources confirm Jesus' death on the cross as well. It is no surprise that people try and reject this claim. Simply b/c if he resurrected he is absolutely divine and w/ God above.

Jesus was beaten, whipped and even stabbed, along with being nailed to the cross. From the stab wound alone, it would be quite possible to bleed out (die) in less than one hour.

I have to say that my feelings/thoughts are that the human known as Jesus did not die at the attempted cucifixion. Typically, if they wanted to quicken the time until death, they would break the legs so the person could not support themselves by their legs. In this way, death eventually came by suffocation as their arm and breathing strength was not enough to actually breath any longer against the weight of the body hanging from the nailed *wrists* (not palms - would not support body weight)

If I recall correctly, not only was he tortured, beaten, and forced to drag a large wooden cross through the streets (enough to cause heart failure when added to the crucifixion), but he was also pierced through the side with a spear. Now, unlike Osho, I wasn't there. But I'm guessing that the resulting blood loss would be enough to kill someone. Now, whether the accounts in the Bible are accurate is another story.

He failed to leave out the fact that jesus was tortured before he was nailed on the cross. There's no telling how much blood he had already lost before the crucifixion. And in those time medicine was still in a primal stage if a loss of blood didn't kill him then infection would.
