  • Very interesting. Does the spinner automatically switch on when you pour rinse water in at a certain level? I grew up with twin-tub machines and love the smell you get from using them, the hot detergent, lol It's a shame they're not made anymore as I suppose you could save water by using the same wash water for all your laundry, which is what we used to do. Whites, lights and then darks. No rinses though, just spun out and pegged on the line! lol

  • the spinner pump has an auto switch, when it reaches a certain level it switches on, the small amount of vanes / holes in the spinner allow you do do good soaking & rinsing, it isnt necessary to fill the level in the outer tub higher, that would waste an awful lot of water.
