Well, my opinion is "MB", "Cortege" or most of their covers (Inquisition Symphony, Master of Puppets, etc.) is not Symphonic Metal, because apart from a cello playing the vocal parts, it's really just the heavy metal riffwork, guitar solos and drums translated 1:1 into cellos, and SOUNDING like heavy metal.

There are no "symphonic" components anywhere.

I'm also saying that a lot of their work IS symphonic metal - most of "Cult", a lot from their subsequent albums...

Well, it IS pop in the sense that pop is everything that is relatively simplistic, or in the sense that rock is a pop genre (along with country, swing crooner, etc.).

Having that said, just because it's music doesn't mean you can make words up. This is played on cellos, not guitars. The song is in B, not in F sharp. You don't get to rename any of those in whatever you want, and neither can you claim that this is techno music because it's "your opinion".
