stick with the tommy. mg is powerful but reload time is a bitch and you can drain the ammo pretty quick. tommy you can always buy off the wall and has practically no reload time. and instead of going clockwise go counterclockwise so you don't get anal'd at the stairs :)

I got to 12 solo and then died using this tactic. the .357 magnum works -WAY- better than the ray gun. its just a bit harder to get.
