Whew, I'm actually relieved to know Serena won't be barred from Rolland Garros next year. Now I (or whoever the winner of the contest might be) will have the chance to see her try to rediscover her former French Open glory.
Congrats to Davydenko on his first "big" tournament win! Still, after a week of gripping tennis, the final match was a big letdown. Okay, with only the Davis Cup finals left this year, can refocus my energy on the French Open giveaway!
Hope the second semifinal in London lives up to the tension and quality of the first! And I hope the matches in Paris next spring are just as good, too. :)
Hey, TE. I just raced home from school to catch the end of the Murray-Federer match - and to enter the French Open giveaway. Hope both turn out favorably!
Nice comeback by Roger today! Looks like he's on his way to securing the number one ranking for the year -- and hopefully the number one seed when one of us may see him defend his French Open crown next year.
The race for No. 1 at the London Masters is as exciting as the race for the Tennis Express French Open giveaway winner. :) Can't wait to see what happens with both!
Is it odd that one of the biggest reasons I'd want to go to the French Open is to try to get Mary Carillo's and Cliff Drysdale's autographs? Maybe that could be a nice consolation prize if I don't win the big one. :)
Interesting to see that Nadal drew Soderling in the Masters round robin...maybe a little French Open revenge is in the cards? Speaking, of the French Open... :)
Hey, TE. Today's my dad's birthday, and I got his hopes up by sorta promising to take him with me if I'm the lucky French Open winner. Would beat the coffee maker I bought him anyway. :)
Oh man, another crushing defeat for Rafa in Paris in 2009. Hope he can get his mojo back to reclaim his Rolland Garros crown next year - and I sure hope I'm there to see him try!
Currently watching Del Potro battle with Gonzalez -- TE, hope you guys sell Juan Martin's new Nike gear -- I'm really digging his sleeveless shirt with the green dot pattern! Oh, and I'd still love to go to Paris next spring, because I'm Del Poortro. :)
Strange day of matches in Paris -- saw a lot of players I've never even heard of before! Guess it was good education in case I see the Frenchmen again next spring. :)
Roger's back and in the semis of the Swiss Indoors! That's as sweet as the Lindt chocolate he's shelling now. :) And winning a trip to the French would be as sweet as an eclaire. Thanks, TE!
Hey, TE -- I'd love to go to Paris. I promise I've never used crystal meth, nor do I hate tennis or use a hairpiece. Just throwing that out there. Thanks!
Hmm...I think I'm going to need a few-day injury time-out next spring, TE. Would love to recover on the sidelines in Paris, maybe with Jelena or Dinara by my side. ;)
Hey, TE. I'm finding myself increasingly obsessed with Kader Nouni, the hippest chair umpire in the history of tennis. I'd love to see him at his home country's Grand Slam next spring!
So nice to come home to see live tennis on tv - Serena and Venus in a third set no less! And it's even nice to enter for a trip to possibly see one of them on the red clay of Paris. Thanks, TE!
Yikes, you can tell it's a slow week in tennis when we're already talking about the Doha draw (exciting as the round robin match-ups may be). At least it gives us more time to talk tennis and enter the contest!
The closest I've ever gotten to Paris is the foreign film section of the local library, and the closest I've gotten to Roger Federer is trying to climb through the television when he won the French this year. Thanks for letting me dream, Tennis Express. :)
Hey, Tennis Express, if I can't win the French Open trip, I'd settle for a trip to the Paris Masters -- or even the Cincy Masters. :) Worth a shot, right?
It's an unseasonably warm day here in Ohio today, so I was able to sneak in a game of tennis this afternoon on my lunch break. Is there a better feeling? Well, maybe going to the French Open, but that goes without saying!
I'm suffering tennis withdrawal. It's a long way off till the Paris Masters 100 -- I guess I'll have to keep myself busy daydreaming about a certain other tournament in Paris!
Congrats to Davydenko on a great win in Shanghai! Maybe he's on track for a better 2010, and, who knows, maybe a French Open win? And maybe I'll be there to see it!
Yanina is back -- I'll go out on a very flimsy limb and predict Wickmayer will take the French in 2010! Just kidding - but I'd sure love to be there to see her try!
I realize now why I keep feeling tempted to buy baguettes and croissants at the grocery store nowadays -- I've always got the French Open on my mind! I'll have to play more tennis to work off all the extra carbs, but it's worth it.
Good thing the French Open isn't in October - most of the top men wouldn't be in the draw! Here's hoping for an injury-free Rolland Garros next year for the winner of the giveaway.
The closest I've some to Paris is the Au Bon Pain down the street, so it's fun to dream about the possibility of heading there next spring. Thanks, Tennis Express!
Happy Friday, Tennis Express! Thanks again for your awesome site (really psyched you're selling Federer's cologne), and of course for the French Open contest.
Where's everyone's YouTube love? I'm getting lonely over here, but at least I'm upping my odds of nabbing those tickets to Paris -- thanks, Tennis Express!
Oh man, I hope there *is* a French Open next year -- about a third of my friends have the flu right now, so something is afoot! I still would love to win though, swine flu be damned. :)
Sorry to be clogging your comment box with all of my desperate pleas for a free trip to Paris. :) I do appreciate the chance though! Thanks, Tennis Express!
The biggest tournament I've ever been to is the Masters Series in Cincy. Would love to get out of Ohio and see the lights (and action) in Paris instead of on camera in my living room. Thanks, Tennis Express!
The women's side could be just as exciting as the men's at Rolland Garros next year, especially if another certain Belgian makes her way back to the tour! Would love to witness it in person!
Definitely agree with the last two comments -- big time congrats for Del Potro for pulling out a gutsy win! Loving the depth on the men's side right now - should make for a fascinating 2010 at the Slams!
After the Open this year, both the men's and women's sides have gotten considerably more exciting, with new faces emerging (and returning!), which makes next year's grand slam calendar even more intriguing. Thanks for the chance to win a trip and see how it all plays out in Paris!
You guys are everywhere! The French has been my favorite ever since I watched that epic match between Henri Leconte and Mark Knowles. I fell in love with tennis that day.
I don't have a good comment to say today. I just hope Roger takes this 6th consecutive US Open. But hey, if Roger has a bad few tournaments, maybe I'll get to see him get that sweet sixteen slam titles at the French???
Man, after Del Potro's performance today, I'm tempted to buy every piece of his gear you sell on your site. With those groundstrokes I'll at least consider getting his racquet and start hitting the practice courts. He's going to be a real force at Rolland Garros next year - would love to see him play live!
Thanks, Tennis Express! Going to be tough deciding how to spend the gift card - so many great choices on your site. Good luck to all for the remainder of the contest!
Good luck in the wind today, del Potro - would love to see a Federer-del Potro final! And would love to win a gift card so I can buy some del Potro gear from Tennis Express. Thanks!
With all the murmurs about the return of Justine Henin, I'm even more eager to enter the giveaway - what a thrill it would be to see her back on the red clay of Paris! Of course, I'd settle for a new racquet from Tennis Express so I can practice my un-Heninlike one-handed backhand as well. Thanks!
Ten-Ex, (can I call you that?) what wouldn't I do to see the boys play on red clay next year???? (The answer is kill my family for tickets...but everything else goes!)
In honor of this awesome contest, here's hoping for great performances from Tsonga and Monfils at the Open today -- would love to see them in their country's Slam next year as well! Thanks, Tennis Express!
I'd volunteer as a ball boy (well, ball man, I guess) if it would get me to the French Open in 2010 -- thanks for giving me the chance to spare myself that humiliation! You're awesome, Tennis Express!
Alright, I need a new tactic to win this French Open thing. I'm going to need a twig, a turkey sandwich and a piece of mint-flavored dental floss. (And MacGyver)...
Tennis Express, you and I have always been so close...I'd do anything for you! So do you want to "randomly" choose me to win a gift card and a trip to the French Open please?? I will bake you cookies!
Oh man, I've never even played on a clay court, let alone watched a match on one, so this would be a real dream come true. And if I'm not lucky enough to win the trip, maybe I'll luck out and win the gift card - at least that way I can buy some gear and pretend to be Federer while I watch him defend his Rolland Garros crown. Cheers!
This is it. Last day. All we can do is sit and wait

Je t'aime Rolland Garros -- big-time merci, Tennis Express, for the chance to win the trip of a lifetime!
guettel614 2 years ago
Tennis Express, you and I have always been so close...I'd do anything for you! So do you want to "randomly" choose me to win a gift card and a trip to the French Open please?? I will bake you cookies!

Oh man, I've never even played on a clay court, let alone watched a match on one, so this would be a real dream come true. And if I'm not lucky enough to win the trip, maybe I'll luck out and win the gift card - at least that way I can buy some gear and pretend to be Federer while I watch him defend his Rolland Garros crown. Cheers!
