  • Rita Hayworth was one of the most beautiful women in HOllywood and also one of the most talented. Her Gilda rivaled anything Marilyn or any other lady did on film.

  • So girl's used to do 'the robot' in like teh 40's?

  • My Sweet Rita. Thank You for the invitation. I have made a video about Rita Hayworth. Love this wonderful Lady. Robert

  • Amazing photo 1:08.

  • When they had the earthquake in San Francisco Back in nineteen-six They said that Mother Nature Was up to her old tricks That's the story that went around But here's the real low-down Put the blame on Mame, boys Put the blame on Mame One night she started to shim and shake That brought on the Frisco quake So you can put the blame on Mame, boys Put the blame on Mame....
  • i came here after watching britain's greatest codebreaker

  • Look, it's Lana Del Rey. Jks. Just joking, people!

  • The name Hayworth is also a step in that direction.

  • OK, I meant that her type was more Spanish than redheadish. To me that's kind of Latin.

  • @FredricEric no, no, no, no rita was spanish on her dads side and irish on her moms side. Get your facts straight.... -.- its like saying a banana is a fucking apple.

  • Originally, she was a latino beauty but they changed her to a WASP.

  • @FredricEric Things aren'talways so black & white. Yes, her father was spanish, and her original looks reflected her spanish side. But her mom was Irish. She has WASP in her. I'm half Greek half Irish, but i look almost all Irish. Doesn't take away from my Greek roots though. Rita was very proud of her Spanish heritage, and she absolutely adored her mother.

  • God she's great on screen, isn't she. :)

  • genial rita hayworth

  • @marilou158 Huh? :p

  • @marilou158

  • @marilou158 apsogi apla!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who is mame?

  • Rita was 28 when she made "Gilda" her 25 year old grandson, Andrew Embiricos was found dead in his NYC apartment today 12/6/2011 of an apparent suicide. My condolences go out to Rita Hayworth's daughter Princess Yasmin Aga Khan...Rest In Peace Dear Andrew !

  • There is not one actress today that can touch Rita!!!! She possessed not only extraordinary beauty, but charisma, talent and a burning sexiness that cannot be duplicated or manufactured.... Sorry Angelina -;)

  • What a woman. They don't make them like that anymore.

  • This song and dance is like a precursor to Marilyn Monroe's performance of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend. Its like MM took it, updated it and kicked it up several notches.

  • Fantastic!! :P

  • She had Spanish backgroud, but not latino american background.

It is totally different being from Spain than fro L.A.

She cany be consider Latina in USA today either.

  • She's so beautiful. MJ had a great taste to put her in "This is it"!

  • 17/10 Feliz Cumple Divina Rita!!!

  • Happy birthday Rita! <3

  • is it me or does she dance really stiffly..

  • @viciousLUA Gilda is drunk when she's singing if i recall.

  • @siamesebc

if she was drunk, wouldn't that loosen her up?

  • @viciousLUA

    It's you.

  • She was extremely talented, but unfortunately, that's not her singing. I don't know who it is, but in an interview she had admitted that she couldn't sing. She was embarrassed to go out to meet with soldiers, and when they'd ask her to sing, she couldn't. Poor thing. She was nothing but a pretty face to her production company who denied her singing lessons. :(

  • @SajidaAsha

    Anita Ellis is singing.

  • @RobinGoodFellovv No way! Really? That's so cool! Thanks. ^_^

  • @SajidaAsha she was a wonderful dancer!

  • She was lovely!

  • Rita es sensacional!

  • Kinda sad that she had to whitewash her spanish ethnicity to be recognized. :/

  • Wow, what a beautiful woman and such a talent. Amazing!

  • Que madrazo sono real

  • The dress was a problem. It took a corps of engineers to keep it up.

  • DIVINA ... DIVINA ... UNICA ... ESTUPENDA !!!

  • Awesome!

  • SOBERBIA.

  • she is so sensual...

  • VINOVNA E LUNATA

  • Sweet Jesus,Mary and Joseph! This woman was sexy indeed!!! I need to sipp a Marguerita right now! xD

  • Sexy, sexy, sexy!!!! That's when women were sexy without being raunchy, like these girls of today! Go Rita!!!!

  • reminds me of michael jackson

  • WHEN SHE TAKES THOSE GLOVES OFF I STOP BREATHING.....

  • This is when women looked like women, with curves, not like the skin and bone

stars of today. I am a middle aged heterosexual woman and I can say she is absolute stunning to watch.

  • THIS IS IT

  • I never appreciated the ending of the film. They are abusive toward each other and still live happily ever after? Times have changed in cinema. A great film nonetheless. Rita was not only a goddess but a great actor.

(ironie)

  • @Whisperlands menuda tollina!

  • Class film

  • @VerdesOJos .. Just so you know, it's actually not Rita singing.. Her voice was replaced with that of Anita Kert Ellis (:

  • right at 2:09 i was expecting mj to catch it

  • Rita was pregnant during the filming of Gilda. The iconic black satin dress still exists, Demi Moore wore it to a Planet Hollywood opening when she was married to Bruce Willis. Could Rita's hair be any more perfect than in this scene, if her hair is shoulder length when it is curled, it must have been very long when it was wet. In the Lucille Ball movie,"The Fuller Brush Girl" a burlesque dancer sings,"Put The Blame On Mame" and does a fantastic job. Rita is lip syncing in this clip. THANX !

  • A real hit in tha music and cinema histroy in my honest opinion

  • OLD IS GOLD !!!! she was perfection ^^

  • Today she'd probably be called overweight,

  • @daimdar That's what's so great about her. You ccan see her belly, her love handles, but she is absolutely STUNNING because of it.

  • 00:58 fuckin lol

  • @Aplaplap that's my favourite part of this video!!

  • 17 dislikes ! ! so u never knew soul moves did u you sad individuals...

  • OMG A real goddess!!

  • @thelight2007 This SEXY lady was berated by a MINISTER! He said, in so many words, she was (just) too sexy! He blamed it on her HAIR! LOL That is documented. It is a fact! LOL ... I am from the so-called "Bible Belt"; southern Alabamie! LOL ... God bless!

  • @LonzaLJohnsonFarkas Bible belt ey? I've always wondered what that's like. As strict as its image suggests?

    Olga

  • i watched this movie because la noire ;D

  • The sexiest armpit ever...

  • Dress designer Jean Louis lined the bosom of this black satin dress with plastic, this is why it stays in place when she raises her arms. This dress still exists for future generations to see, it is a part of American film history. R.I.P. Rita And Thanks For Leaving The World Images Of Your Breathtaking Beauty !

  • check ur bad sell Gilda

  • REMINDED OF THIS IS IT!

  • This earthquake registered a 10+ on the Ricter Scale !

  • I love how the hair falls perfectly back in shape after the many flips and tosses!

  • I'd fuck her alright.

  • @jnieminen2 shes dead lawl

  • @myworldisastage this role was one of the major influences for Jessica Rabbit ♥

  • whoa! that whole zipper thing was pretty racy for 1946...

  • Thumbs up if "Micheal Jackson's this is it" brought you here ;D

  • @ChrissySpockLennon actually I'm from Everybody Hates Raymond reruns o3o;

  • @SakoresDark Ah, I see :)

  • @ChrissySpockLennon

Michael Jackson was a cancer on American culture. Good riddance that he's dead.

  • @MrFarcry1966 and you are an awful person that is glad someone is dead. god have mercy on your soul.

  • @NicoleMJ1993

You do know there is no god, right?

  • @MrFarcry1966 And you are downright evil.

  • @ChrissySpockLennon I saw this movie YEARS ago and had forgotten how amazing Rita was until I saw "This is It" last night.

  • @ChrissySpockLennon thumbs up if loving rita hayworth brought you here!!!!

  • how can you NOT love Rita?! Stunning creature.

  • Stupenda scena , stupenda lei...una vera stella.

  • 17 of justin bieber fans detected.

  • Seventeen people have no idea what REAL cinema is all about!

Rita, you are my one and ever ...

  • They once had a shootin' up in the Klondike When they got Dan McGrew Folks were putting the blame on The lady known as Lou That's the story that went around But here's the real low-down Put the blame on Mame, boys Put the blame on Mame Mame did a dance called the hoochy-coo That's the thing that slew McGrew So you can put the blame on Mame, boys Put the blame on Mame

Criterio tengo bien formado academicamente. Obviamente respeto tu opinion acertada o no.

  • @missEloise97 i have the original in 8 mm and is the same tune from the original.

  • @eatsleep3D Same, i just loved the song so much after watching this is it :3

  • @eatsleep3D Same here. XD

  • @eatsleep3D Same pal! :D

  • and this is the super censored scene of streaptease??

Oh, im a little bit dissapointed!

    hehe

  • 14 people got turned down by Mame....

  • 65 years later and this clip from gilda however still is a knockout! rita hayworth WORKED for this one! love this movie!

  • Not only is she a drop dead knowckout, she is very fluid in her motions and her voice is superb. This is why the boys won the big one, they all carried her picture in their jackets!

  • That, my friends, is real sexy :D

  • Fabulous .... woman, actress, black and white movie and that dress and hair and yes that don't make em like that anymore x

  • Come lei non ne nascono più.....

  • Paola Oliveira (brazilian actress) looks like her.

    (In my opinion)

  • Lynda Carter sang this song in her recent concert. Same dance, but you can't with the original. Rita Hayworth was so beautiful. Absolutely all WOMAN.

  • just FF ! The type of women, men love the most!

  • I saw it when I was a child and I always have remember this song! It hypnotized me!

  • Este video sale en This is it ,en la viñeta para Smooth Criminal =) .. mis tías me dijero de donde venia ,era cierto :D!

  • @1JorgeJara Quite s-i-m-p-l-y, BITE me! God bless and Merry CHRISTmas!

  • Obviously if you people think Rita is being "Rough" in this you haven't seen the whole movie. Rita Hayworth is a beautiful goddess.

  • do you recognize her in "this is it" film?

michael jackson caught the glove in "smooth criminal"

  • @eleiordache Yes, that's why I came to this lol.

  • @LEAHCIM829

    :) me too

but i saw the "glenda" movie and it is great

  • I think she's a bit rough... : /

  • @Titaamericana you are a bit rough...! She had no urgery.. unless Marylin Monroe and so on.

  • @Andreika89 Hehe, I know. Maybe she is rough because she has to be in this movie...is she drunk? I still prefer Audrey Hepburn...more ladylike. ;)

  • @Titaamericana

In this particular movie as Gilda, she is trying to make Johnny fall in love with her so she portrayed a rough person and did things that she would not normally have done.

  • Margarita Carmen Cansino forever!!! I love you

  • I LUVVVV this movie!!!

  • when women were true women...

  • HOW DO I GET HER JOB?!?! wearing hot dresses and singing to diners wearing diamonds and satin. Bloody hell i want that as my life.

  • Grace is a gift from God! Rita´s got brigthness and grace!

  • it's the hair that makes her - god, what a sex pot. -- I love the scene in the beginning - also featuring her hair

  • An awesome and unforgettable epic. Rita was gorgeous!!!!!!! No silicon, no botox or workout and she was perfect!

  • @9319fernanda I agree deeply with you..all of her was 100 per cent natural, no plastic surgery, nothing artificially input...the real beauty that is missing in the women today

  • @thommadera wrong, she is beautiful really! but if you check her biography you realise that she had surgeries with her nose and her teeth and colored her hair to look more american and less spanish

  • Demi Moore wore Rita Hayworth's black satin Gilda dress to the opening of a Planet Hollywood opening when she was married to Bruce Willis. I never noticed this before but in this performance and in the Amado Mio sequence she holds her arms straight out in her dance routine.

  • LOL why are people getting all enraged just because some people first saw this in "This Is It"? If anything it's a good thing that more people are turned on to this great scene.

  • Wonderfull!!!

Thats is why hero of Tim Robbins from Shawshank Redemption asked her poster.

  • What's with this fucking Michael Jackson bullshit leaking onto Gilda? gtfo.

  • @deytukrjabz what! are you jealous^^

  • @deytukrjabz Gvfeatured She was in his sketch for "Smooth Criminal" THIS IS IT. You should be happy because he's the reason some ppl are watching!
