The Elephant experiment is maybe half true but there are still very important questions unanswers:
1) How did they contruct a ramp with precise measurements and with the strength/durability to withstand 40 ton rocks + several large elephants at the same time
2) Once the 40 ton rock is at the top of the ramp, how did they sculp it in such a way that it becomes permanently attached to the top of the temple
3) What happened to this supposeduly powerful and durable ramp

Look how difficult it is fror 3 great elephants to move one 25 ton stone a few feet on flat level ground using huge tree trunk rollers. I am so glad I visited this unbelievable Temple last month. The government has done a good job of maintaining the temple (ONE OF THE FEW TEMPLES IT GIVES SOME ATTENTION).

A person motivated by material pursuits is not going to understand the motive of walking up the stairs because it means greater physical exertion which is more strenous.
Moreover the kind of high achieved by a rigorous physical workout is not material happiness because it is not dependent on acquistion of something material. Sure you get a more desirable body but the high you get is not because of that shapely body. I am sure you understand what I say.
For example, when you run a lot & then rest there is some pleasure you get, don't you ? That pleasure is not material.
And there are people who're not motivated by purely material pursuits. The highest way of living is living according to the will of God. The bliss that is attained in that is unparalled & the material happiness is insignificant to that. One whose only aim is material pursuits is like an animal. One whose aim is sex, when he readily gets sex is not going to be concerned to act.
And as the Gita says without action you cannot even maintain your own body.
Lets take an example of a kingdom where a king is very rich. All his material pursuits has been achieved. He has the greatest kingdom, he is very rich & all his material desires are fulfilled readily. Now, is there not a likelihood that he will indulge in debauchery & lose his manly vigour ? The persian empire is a great example. Try to find out about it.
But a king is unconcerned about pursuing his material desires but follows the teaching in Gita understands that his obligation is to protect & care for his kingdom. Such a king will not lose his kingdom.
Secondly, obsession of material pursuits means fighting & violence. Now, you might like a girl very much but your parents disapprove of it. Would you go against your parents' wishes & marry that girl ? If not, it means you're not driven by material pursuits.

There is nothing wrong in Kahuraho paintings. Sex is as natural as birth and death. If you can paint birth and death, what is wrong in painting sex. Sorry to say but this vid does not explain how the temple was built. Look how difficult it is fror 3 great elephants to move one 25 ton stone a few feet on flat level ground using huge tree trunk rollers. If you try to put those huge logs on an incline ramp, how will you prevent them from rolling off ? You can't ! And when you pull a weight up a ramp it's much heavier! Experiment what for? The block only weights almost the half and it dont goes upwards a ramp!!! Maybe they had something we didnt know. I heared from a temple in India where a solid block of a different stone is inside and the temple is also build up in one block with no entrance big enough. They have no idea how they made it. Even with the power of the elephants...10,000 and all the man power they had. I still have to ask how did they cut the stones and move all the dirt /etc to build the ramps. OK..elephants did this work? But, then we have to remember he said there are thousand of the temple that was built
Each temple would need ramps and thousands of men & elepants. Cutting the stones would of been a major project..and to roll then on stone after shaping the stone seem impossible

Unfortunately that civilization is long lost in India. But countryside is still ok. if you don't mind a simple life and don't roam around much, you can live comfortable with $150-$200 a month. This is in the country side. IF you go to the cities, you will be shocked at the traffic, pollution, crowd and noise. So keep away from Indian cities. But visiting cities will give you a sense of gratitude to be where you are after you return.

Now let me tell you something. One who goes for material pursuits will not strive when he achieves those material pursuits.
For example, with the coming of lifts one will not use stairs whose only objective is material i.e. going up or down the stairs.
However one who follows the Gita's teaching realises that walking up the stairs upto the limits of human capacity is good for his body.

The hindu religion has degenerated since a long time. If they had been following the teachings of Bhagavad Gita, i dont think the muslim invaders would have got anything in India.
The paintings in Khajuraho, i believe is part of the corruption in our ancient religion, it is not our true religion. Our true religion is what Lord Krsna preached to Arjuna.

There is nothing wrong in Kahuraho paintings. Sex is as natural as birth and death. If you can paint birth and death, what is wrong in painting sex. If death is destruction of a body, birth is preservation of family, then sex is creation. It is just the mindset of people that have changed. I don't see anything wrong in nude painting.
