Hi there. Nice video. What software did you use to edit and save the video? What settings did you use for the output file? I just got a Mini DVR-HD and love it, but I'm getting problems with block artifacts in my videos on YouTube which I notice you don't get.
Example: youtube.com/watch?v=UA3lDTPSX2g
I know they are appearing due to the compression that YouTube uses (they are very good quality straight from the Mini DVR).
@MrCharlesSweeney It may well be the file format you upload to Youtube in.
I personally use Sony Vegas but that in itself shouldnt make a difference. I upload a .m2t file (mpeg2), but youtube seem to recommend a wmv or mp4 file, either post on DogCams facebook wall or drop them an email if youre still having trouble!
@thingsoftheweek The Hope lines alright, needs some work still i think and needs bedding in, and not massive amounts of fun on a bike heavy bike like mine but its alright yeah, and a lot of people really like it!
@CycleGaz the part where it looks dark in this video it was completely pitch black and I was riding blind, the fact the camera picked up anything is amazing, in a similar situation on the GoPro HD it was black for the entirity of the first wooded section, hence my justification of the low light performance being good.
You say it handles low light better, the low light in this video look very poor. A Contour, GoPro or VIO camera would be much better in those changing conditions.
@dogcamsport the exposure isn't locked however where the camera goes dark it really is pitch black, as a result its impossible to see anything with the human eye so the fact it picks up the rider in fronts bike, I thought was incredible and it coped much better than when using the GoPro HD
nice film

@CycleGaz Looks like the exposure was locked in this video, you can change this in the menu on the screen.
