I went to Sanya in January this year and the weather was a bit crappy for the first couple of days too. I remember I was freezing at nights. But then it suddenly got much hotter. They say that when there is no northern wind coming from the continent it is really hot. But when occasionally this wind blows you might want to use a sweater.

Haikou was nothing special, but Sanya was very nice. Only problem was that we had a bit crap weather during our stay. But it was nice to actually wear t-shirts for a few hours!!
