Vtec is another name for variable valve timing... So it doesn't "kick in" its always on its just the powerband for high revving 4 cylinder engines that your hitting... Danny people are dumb...

@FordHaten VTEC does indeed kick in, it uses 2 cam lobes profile, one for lower rev and one for higher rev. Educated yourself before looking like a knows-it-all that knows nothing. i-VTEC is indeed "on" all the time, however the DOHC i-VTEC also uses 2 cam lobes.
