@RenaultSport133 To someone with an engineering itch it does, because 260bhp and 8% more torque takes it another serious step towards what is possible with a reliable atmospheric 4-cylinder without adding weight that would upset the balance. 30hp extra may not sounds like much, but the relative difference gets only bigger at higher speeds when drag start eating away the power left for acceleration.
@Taxi645 lol , when did I say that 30hp difference wont be noticable? especially in something as light as elise.... I was just saying that it is much more common to NA tune an K20 or maybe put SC on it ( but then you have to tune the internals bad if you want engine to last ) than buying K22 out of an Civic Mugen RR.....
@RenaultSport133 What is more common is not always the most interesting from an engineering point of view. ;)
But I understand what you're saying, for an individual it is often not very sensible to try and do something like that, but it would be nice if some tuning company would have a go at it just to make something special, to proof what is possible with an atmospheric 4-pot and they might get a lot of free publicity along the way. :)
@RenaultSport133 Well let me just say that I'm an engineer in spirit always trying to improve things and to develop it to the full potential, but sometimes life takes you into a different direction. :)
I wish someone would put the 260 bhp 2.157cc K20 from the Mugen RR exp. in an Exige/Elise, than would really be awesome.

@Taxi645 People are putting K20s in Elises for some time now....150cc extra doesnt make much difference...

@Taxi645 Yeah , I agree, too bad that tuning companys are too busy remaping 1.9TDI Golfs.... btw , you are an engineer I presume?

@Taxi645 I know what you mean , btw try LFS , much better physics than rFactor , take care , bye
