No one was attacking Athens right to worship Jesus. You are simply not permitted to do so using government property without giving equal space to other religions and the non-religious. This rally was not interested in freedom. They believe their rights come before those of others and aim to push thier views on others. Forcing your personal belief stucture on others is bad enough, but to assert that your rights have been violated even as you try to violate the rights of others is idiotic.
How is having a Nativity on a public square such a point of contention? Per U.S. Constitution Article VI, Para 3: "..but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."..How is a Nativity to be construed to be a "Religious Test" and therefor unconstitutional? A Nativity is not a "Religious Test".
Are you stopped from "Freedom of Religion" or being made to pass a "Religious Test"? A Nativity is neither of those things to you.
