  • This is insightful, as I am learning now. I can say that this is something that makes me want to aspire to be great.

Thanks Justin for rocking the Trance Life.

P.S. I have a video up, I'd appreciate advice if you have time.

  • Thank you! Dare to fail, you learn more that way!

  • I learned NLP from Richard Bandler and Tony Robbins. I don't use NLP on purpose. To date any time I do TV the producers find the people I use for the show.

  • I was recently hypnotized. Except I'm not sure though. When I was in hypnosis, I could feel everything around me, and I felt like I could get up at any time I wanted to. Is that suppose to happen?

  • There are different levels of hypnosis. What you experienced was very normal, sounds like you were in a light state of hypnosis.

  • Do they remember at all being in a trance? Or was it like blacking out?

  • Some people remember everything, and some remember nothing at all. It really depends on the depth of trance.

  • Sounds like a lot of fun!

  • I really enjoy doing TV....

  • I didn't realx them at all. It is a misconception that you have to have someone relaxed before you hypnotize them. There is no setup here. I meet them on the set for the first time, cameras are rolling, I introduce myself, and I hypnotize them.

  • Justin!

Absolutely wonderful! I am starting to learn hypnosis, but there is so much fluff in the market place. Can you suggest any good books for me to read so that my fundamentals will be strong? You are a great hypnotist !!!! Thanks.........

  • I took my first formal hypnosis training in "79". Over the course of 10 years. I actually went to dozens of hypnosis schools, and learned almost nothing of value. There are very few good teachers out there. The best book on hypnosis is Hypnotherapy by Dave Elman.

  • Justin!

What is the technical name for the technique used when you ask the subjects who are under hypnosis to"tell the truth". Also, is there any associations or guild for African-American Hypnotists? Do you know of anyone who is a competent hypnosis teacher living in the Balto/Washington DC area. Thanks.........

  • I am not aware of any such technical term, to my knowledge there is no African-American Guild, and I know of no competent hypnosis teachers in your area. I am very sorry I couldn't be of more help.

  • Coolest thing ever! I never knew that you could get the truth from people with hypnosis...Sooo awesome! It looks so fun to do! Sorry I keep bothering you with all of these comments and questions...but...how did you relax Rene and Robert before you said "Sleep" and touch their foreheads?
