  • Oh my god... Akira Miyazaki, the guy who worked on this series (script) also worked on the Moomin series which came just after this did (he was the writer there). There is an episode in the 90's Moomin series, where a demon who was sealed within a dead tree fooled some of the maincharacters to let him out, and just as he was about to turn the characters to animals, Snufkin saved the day on the exact same way as here.

    Dear Akira, if you wrote both of these episodes, STOP REUSING THE SAME PLOT.
