Its great vid but its to short.And one thing i ask whitch i never understud why are historians saying swiss warriors of that day had no armor while in books from those times yu can see pics of swiss warriors killing hasburg knights while wearing pure metal cloths and helmets??? (by the way in Age of Empires 3 swiss are armed with metal cloths)
Full body armor cost about 4 cows, the swiss couldn't afford that and had only armor after battle. In Morat against Charles the Bold they atttacked at night in a swamp between city& lake wearing wooden sandals, the burgundian knights on the other hand were too heavy and their iron shoes were sliding, so armor could be disadvantageous especially for the light mobile infantry formation as the swiss, the pictures were usually drawn after battles sometimes by the partcipant painter
of course we could afford body armour. we've got many cows. and always had.. you want one? :P
but you're right.. painters that time used to "stylize" often. put some armours where there shouldn't be, few cannons more or less, archers of both enemies standing next to each another, who cares.. pikemen looked better in armour than without so why not paint them with it? even today we try to make things look better than they are..
