@SRJC5725 Not that I recall, I don't think Jack Wagner has been on GH in almost 20 years now. Or, if we was, it was a short-term return so he was not in the opening.
Was sponsor after this video Crest, because this version of the theme I've seen in very bad quality on WoST. Yours is much better than theirs. The music in this video is different from the regular 1993 theme.

That's weird, because the 4/1/93 episode that I have doesn't show the sponsor...The first commercial shown is some kind of cleaning product commercial. Maybe it varys from ABC affilite to ABC affilite.
It was never indicated that this opening was taped on 4/1/93, and Carmaker was actually referring to the opening of the 4/14/93 episode, whose opening is seen on WoST which had Crest as a sponsor. I don't think the 30th anniversary had a featured sponsor..the opening cut drectly into the first scene.
Actually, this definately wasn't from 4/1/93 because Bill Eckert is seen as the prologue dissolves into the opening. As you probably know, the 30th anniversary prologue ended with John Beradino walking onto a set as cameras started taping a scene.
Thanks for the help with that. After I found, captured, and uploaded the 4/1/1993 opening last year, I knew it didn't have a sponsor. This one might also be from 4/14/1993 because it uses a rare version of the theme like the one on WoST.
This early, watered-down version of "FOTH" lasted the first few months of the new opening, and at most until October 1993 when the headshots were updated for the first time. Similiarly, the full version of "FOTH" used in the closing had different instrumentation in the early months, with violins playing at the very beginning. Afterwards, they were dropped, and the CD release version with only the piano heard in the beginning was in use before the end of 1993.
I LOVE Tracy and Ned's shot. They look so moody and calculating!

I though there was one Faces of the Heart opening with Jack Wagner in it, though brief. Am I wrong?

@SRJC5725 He made some appearances during the BJ/Maxi transplant story but he wasn't a full time cast member then.

Thank you so much for that info. I now know why and how this version existed.

Someone has an opening from May 1993 and this theme wasn't being used.
