  • @DrDerpwerth Looks like this pr*ck has been removed - bl**dy good!

  • British or American, any soldier that does that is brave beyond words... the difference is America gives you an award that's been given to so many other solider for so much less... making your action (though equally incredible to your brothers around you) not as distinguished. Although many soldiers crazy enough to do it probably care little for a medal.

  • Whats wrong with american forces? No offence but there trained better that any other military. Exept israily commandos. They train our army special forces.

  • I wish Canada had a Marine Corps...

  • @DrDerpwerth shut up you brown cum stain.

  • If this were an American Marine the comments would not be so kind.

  • @TheJake1005 - that's true.

  • @TheJake1005 thats cus an american wouldnt do it becuase they are cowards

  • @lukewilliams010 Say that to the American soldiers who gave their lives in combat and say that to their families.

  • @TheJake1005 theydont deserve it no one does but an american would not have done this just saying

  • wow this guy has balls the size of water melons........if i had a hat i would take it off to him......massive respect to this guy and all the armed forces

  • i read his book, it was great.

  • @77caroz you're an idiot.

  • i hope you get a MOH Croucher

  • croucher, you have balls of steel and a burgan made of steel aswell. donno how u servived that one

i take my green lid off to you

everyone readinfg the comments realise that this guy is one of a kind

  • @77caroz u fucking idiot

he had tons of kit like mesh tins and a wopping great battery which prevented shrapnell from rippin him to shreads

  • it was a booby trap, he heard the grenade drop and jumped down backwards with his burgan on top of it, it cushioned the blast and directed the fragments the other direction, have some fucking respect. the guy just saved lives putting his own life and health on the line. have u served in the army?

  • @advent8888888888 i totaly agree with what your sayin except hes in the marines not the army, i currently serve with the marines aswell.

its annoyin when people call army an marines the same.

  • @miniman631 yer what unit u in? im not calling the marines and army the same, just asking if hes served

  • @advent8888888888 im with 40 commando m8

do u serve in any forces

  • @miniman631 yer 45 commando, how come ur not on tour now? would of been busy in sangin

  • @miniman631 i dont really like to say im a marine, just say in the army, especially putting ur beret up as picture

  • one of the very few who has the protective gear

    lucky is the word

  • this is true it was on a reward ceremony his uniform saved him.

  • @77caroz shut thp fuk u and let him have it u twat

  • He lay his back pack on top of the grenade then lay on top of it with his body armour. Beside from his other provisions the marine had a 66inch rocket in his bag which helped protect him. The Taliban arent using modern grenades probably ones from 1960's or 40's era.

  • @grobo11 yea, in his book booletproof he says it was an old russian pinaple type grenade

    brill book by the way

    read it when possible

  • A suicide bomber's rig is completely different from a single frag grenade. I doubt frag grenades are enough to take down a building while a suicide bomber's is.

There could also be a chance that the frag grenade thrown wasn't manufactured properly therefore, not being able to use its full potential. It could be luck, it could be anything else, but to me that shouldn't matter.

The mere fact he threw himself (with his fellow soldiers witnessing this) is enough proof for me.

  • Isn't that kinda harsh? Stripped of his medal just because you think his story is bullshit?

The fact that he threw himself on a live grenade is enough for him to deserve any kind of award for bravery.

  • a guy you cant help but respect. not just brave but hella lucky. just wish that american soldiers werent so looked down upon

  • ima get a tatoo of him on my forehead =)

  • My compliments to him and those who trained him to think of his comrades. Under fire, staring death or the chance to escape before him, he chose to potentially sacrifice his life for his team. I always said a proper soldier should always defend those who cannot fight for themselves, but also those who will risk it all to save their comrades are worthy of the praise this man got. Bravo!

  • brave

  • What a fucking hero. He deserves every bit of praise he receives.

  • lol i went to school with this guy he is a legend!!!

  • Too bad he didn't live, he would be a hero, wait he already is!

  • Shit, Im an idiot, he did live! Wow, thats crazy.

  • I bet his mum is proud. Well done that man.

  • back up*

  • absolut legend, brought Britian up to its legendary status. True War Hero. Deserves to be on a coin or something, haha =P
