@southernbassman it depends. i have a 96 f-250 diesel ex cab, short bed, 2wd and i topped out at 23 mpg on highway. the truck is stock besides a 3 inch downpipe. they are indeed "good rigs"
what lift do u have on it? im thinking about a 4'' for my 97with bf all terrain. why do you have three shocks on the front diff does it make it smother.
I've currently got my eyes on a 94 and half with the turbo 7.3, it's 4x4 crew cab, much like yours just a 5 speed (which has pretty much got me sold) what should i look for before purchasing? what are the typical problems with it that i should look for? the other thing too is it needs new head gaskets are those hard to change or doi have to take it to a shop and pay alot of money to have them fix it? any help from anyone would be great thanks (funny thing i'm a chevy guy but i do like the 7.3)
@aftoyboy if you live in a very cold climate give it a few mins to warm up if u leave it outside for more than 3 or 4 hours, look out for the powersteering pump if you have in in 4wd and you crank on it too hard before you give it a good chance to warm up, and be sure to never take it out of 4wd when its in gear, those have all would have been prevented for me if i was such a dumbass 16 year old
@13craj We're all young and dumb at one point in out lives haha, I remember jumping my 85 s10 blazer in 4wd had a 2.8 v6 and it never started again after that, it threw the timing off so much that it couldn't be fixed. But yeah thanks for the info I do appreciate it.
@aftoyboy I have an IDI, they run for ever. But if your like me and want more power and at least a little speed, get a PSD. I made a mistake buying an IDi. Great truck, but not enough power for me.
What are you talkin bout kid... 6.9 was an indirect injection (idi)... Then a 7.3 idi... Then a 7.3 idi turbo... The 7.3 direct injectio (di) n turbo is the first in the line of powerstroke engines
@thewhoissuperb24 must not be a ford guy well there was the 6.9 powerstroke and a non-turbo powerstroke and before that the old IDI's with a turbo and with out just that last year of the IDI's did they have turbos before that switch to the powerstroke and the powerstrokes are DI motors so they are Direct injected.
@gunnz23 ;Thats a RanchHand Bumper system,if he got this for 500 {hell of a deal}must be from the west coast,thats where you see alot'em.east coast around $1600(new}.900-1000 {used}
how often do you change your filter? and do you have a turbo upgrade?

what tire specs do u have to fit the humvee tires?

humvee tires will fit any 16.5in wheel. It's the wheels that have crazy offset they won't work.
