I actually am left handed as well for the most part, I just have always played this way. Have you ever tried setting up your kit for a lefty? Meaning, put everything on the other side of the kit.

It's low due to the large tom sizes, the batter head (Evans G2) and because I tune them fairly low, enough to get the wrinkles out of the head but not too tight.

I've gotten quite a few requests for a tutorial but I just haven't had time to put it together. Watch my playing closely for kinda a baseline of what to play. You can simplify it. It's quite simple if you take out all the ghost notes and stuff I threw in there. The actual Hillsong drummer has a tutorial for this song somewhere on Youtube. Look it up.

Fyi, I play it slightly different than the original Hillsong version but in concept it's the same thing.

To get better, I'd say practice to a metronome, listen to songs with more than basic stuff and try play it, even if slow at first. For technique, play a snare or on a pad in front of a mirror and try copy the technique of a good drummer you may like. When playing, always try move out of your comfort zone by trying different patterns to challenge your coordination. And always do this slowly to a metronome so you stay in time. That is so important.
