  • @glebanorgleb - "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". My preference has always been for steam locomotives, but the Japanese, like the French and the Indians, believe in train travel, and have invested heavily and produced some wonderful examples of railway design - even Amtrak in the USA have a healthy rail system.

  • Even thou the narration is in Japanese, a vary impressive video of a even more impressive human accomplishment.........

  • Very interesting, I wish I could have understood the commentary. I just watched a vid of the n gage model running on a club layout. Thanks for posting-TM

  • What happens during a power faliure? I guess people are stuck.

  • superrrb

  • Should have subtitled in English.

  • Travelling via Shinkansen is always a pure pleasure.

  • Its rare this train it was just a only one off !

  • OMG! love this train!!!

  • this train is for inspection of condition of the rail and the power cable at the same condition with bullet train in operation service. So, there are many measuring devices for analyzing in the cabin. camera is for recording a actual motion of pantagraph so that engineer can evaluate whether their estimation of motion is correct or not. because it's impossible to calculate the motion of it 100%. (already they developed active suspension pantagraph from the result.)

  • @outback1054 A bit like Network Rail's "flying banana" test train in the UK, then.

  • ロシアでは彼らは言う..風と乗り))

  • I have a question: That seat and that camera with pantograph view is for what? Is it for the test? Is this a new train that is in the probes period? Could you give me please an aproximate translation? Or a website related to this train? (But in english...)

  • Japan had plans for a 'Shinkansen' rail-net work in 1934+! Sadly events in the following years prevented the building of the railway, however, by 1964 the first Bullet Trains were up and running in time for the Tokyo Olympic Games! The people of Japan are masters of 'Turning the Old into the New'.

  • @Emozeek aye fag guess wat im replying sorry it took long but i was busy fucking ur mom so r u gonna cum down to try to kill me bitch

  • パート2があるかい?m(’_ _’)m

  • @butabutainoshishi problem? :D <==== Troll face

  • imagine getting hit by one of these trains.

  • @TheJCJexe Imagine getting hit by ANY train!!!!!

  • good

  • Why yellow? It reminds me of a blob of maiyonaise

  • @zcuzcu - It's yellow because it's a maintenance vehicle.

  • i feel the japanese have this way of thinking "out with the old" " in with the new" and look to better them selfs for the tomorrows world the uk will never see this as there is to many people who complain about how somthing is going to be to noisey when being constructed well der! of course there will be! and the thieving gits who rob the signal cables.

  • Why can't the US have highspeed rail?

  • 走行中の前方映像は、普通の新幹線でも席の背もたれに液晶モニター付けて見せてほしいなぁ。

  • @Deeked What an immature comment. Why waste it on that? Rather, we should contract with Hitachi and Kawasaki Heavy Industries for expertise in building such elegant pieces of technology. Then we could ask for JR Tokai, which operates one of the busiest rail lines in the world, for tips on running such EMUs.

  • I bet it transforms into a giant fighting robot, jk.. much nicer inside than the trains in the UK :L

  • great

  • what's the name of this song?
