  • looked like an armed police car, not sure do but could be

  • haha, for a second I was kinda wondering whether you were in fact standing on an island. I was about to shout " Get out of the way!!!" :)

  • sounds like a Chicago Cop car siren.

  • Wow they must drive like maniacs over there.

  • @danbeb Or we have better driver training in the UK...

  • @GTAIVPOLICE No problem :)

  • @GTAIVPOLICE It depicts them out from other Metropolitan police vehicles so police officers become aware that it is a vehicle carrying CO19 officers

  • that is armed response unit

  • at 0:07 theres some1 in the back, Is it another officer or something else?

  • @lanegane1 Yes it's another officer, they often ride 3 !!

  • @Bluezn2z Oh, I didn't know that I don't live in england

  • @lanegane1 No probs! lucky u :0)

  • @Bluezn2z I want to live there but it's too far away and i'm not an adult yet

  • @lanegane1 Just to add they have different responsibilities - the Driver's job is to the ARV to the scene in the safest way possible, the front seat officer has to gather as much information about the incident before arriving and is in constant liaison with other officers via the radio - and finally the guy you mention in the back seat has a map of london and must determine which route is the quickest. Hope that helps.

  • @lanegane1 ARV always travel 3 up !

  • Nice video

  • thats just a decoy for the secret police units that the met has. THats what a diplomatic protection group ex officer told me. He told everything the public and media sees is a decoy for the real security forces.

  • @1982FMJ Haha your comment was really funny. Do you do stand-up?

  • @1982FMJ I am a police officer for the Met and trust me THEY are no DECOY!

  • VERY NICE

  • very nice !

  • I'd lol if he just stopped and they all got out.

  • lool i thot the camera guy was gna get ran over

  • what exactly is an armed response vehicle?

  • @mcguire1kai a armed responce vehicle or arv for short is a police car that only the armed police have and the cars are mostly silver thats so i show they arnt normal police officer

  • @mcguire1kai In the UK, police patrols don't rountinely carry firearms so if they are required, specialist armed officers are called upon to provide assistance.

  • How do the English afford BMW 5-series fitted with all the necessary gadgetry needed to be a Police Vehicle? It would cost tax payers over £65,000 per car!

  • @quatlen thats why we pay stupid;y high taxes

  • @bonkeye42 Nah, we pay stupidly high taxes because of Gordon Brown's labour government wasting over half of our taxes on remedial and un-needed things. For example MP's felt it neccesary to claim tax money so they could buy a second house for themselves.

  • @quatlen I think they're 3 series. you're not far off the actual figure with regard to cost. Normally though only specialist units (ARVs, DPG and the like) will have these then one or two per borough (division) as "area cars" the rest will be made up for vauxhall (opel) astras, trialling Hyundai things at the moment these are the standard response vehicles these make up most of the fleet. Prisoner transport comes in the way of the ford transit. Mercedes sprinters are used as personnel carriers.

  • @F1X0R121

These are 5 series. ARV and Traffic often use 5 series, 3 series are usually used as an area car in the Met police.

  • @Zildjian285 Thanks for clearing that up. I don't no cars that well and most of the traffic units I see are 4X4s

  • @quatlen We don't have that many of them. Most police cars are shitty cheap Vauxhalls or something. Only the Metropolitan Police have BMW's, really. The Met Police have the best of everything!

No wonder it's the second largest police force in the world (after the NYPD).

  • How do you tell the difference between an 'armed response vehicle' and a 'typical' Metropolitan Police car just by looking at them?

  • @InnGuy Hi, the Armed Response can be depicted by the flourescent circular motifs in the front & rear windows.

  • @InnGuy and they are mostly silver

  • @InnGuy more cocky lookin officers lol

  • @InnGuy more cocky lookin officers lol oh and they where dark blue not black n white

  • @InnGuy they where a dark blue uniform as the normal police wear black and also

theres a big yellow strip on an armed car which basicly says there code which the have to say because they got bg gunz

  • that was CO19

  • かっこいいGood!

  • good driver :p

  • bmw would make great police cars here in america!

  • Though, I don't really mind the Chevy Impala nor the Dodge Charger either ;)

  • sooo VERY true...!!!

  • I agree with you now.

  • For some reason, I got the feeling that you was standing in the middle of the road and were about to get hit by that police vehicle :)

Nice one mate, a great view!

  • A great catch!

  • take it u were on a pedestrian island lol great shot!

  • hes gonna run ur dumb ass over

  • i tought it was going to crash the camera man!

because it was going strait to him!

  • at last is an dutch siren

  • The hi-lo siren is all around the world, it's not a Dutch siren just because it's two-tone.

Hi-Lo is one of the many tones in the different sirens that are used worldwide.

  • if u look closely in the back window u can see his MP5

  • whats the name of the siren at 0:13- 0:15? becuase it sounds cool!

  • Comment removed

  • Hi-Lo, or High-Low in normal English. A standard feature on the UK siren packages, be it either Whelen or Premier Hazard

  • Armed coppers soo lucky they always have the best cars lol

  • I thought they were gonna run your ass over!

    lol!

  • cool video

  • Its great to see the armed police in quality cars. Its gods will

  • You know mate, I don't think god wills to give men with guns the advantage in life. I think it's the chief superintendent of the met's will ;D.

  • excellant video dude. . keep them coming :D

  • Great vid as always mate!

  • good driving metropolitan police you r a sick man u lot can drive the car bear cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bloody hell I thought he was gonna hit you! (of course a decent cop never would) great camera work!

  • Was he just doin loops round the street, is that how you knew to stand there??!!

  • i'd be shit scared if he stopped and got out instead of passing by

  • most cop cars or ambulances do daa to get outa traffic tbh

  • *whistles* he's not a bad driver!

  • sweet car we would look better with l.e.ds

  • Whatever they are going to is pretty serious, they only force there way through traffic like that when its usually life threatning.

  • I went to LDN on a school trip last year (im from the wirral near liverpool) i got of the train at euston got by were u filmed this and thourght wow this roads busy! lol

  • Dude u wer about 3 seconds from deathi he hadnt swerved!

still great vid i luv the wooping noise at the beggining

  • LOL! I was actually on a pedestrian crossing outside of Euston Fire Station, and the zoom makes it look a lot closer!..nice comp claim had he hit me! ;-)

  • Lol. I thought he was going 2 hit you. :o Lol cool vid

  • Same.

  • nice car nice sirens :D:D:D

  • Damn Son, almost hit da camera man. That would have been cool if he would have crashed! SPLAT! LOL!

  • Yer it would have been great!...I could have got the Ambulance arriving on the bell..bell!

  • Right place, right time for that video!

  • Brilliant capture.

I hope the met put LEDs on their ARVs soon.. :)

  • cool sirens

  • Why cant they buy an M5 instead of that thing?

Still, better than an Astra Diesel

  • Not really any point, the 3.5 diesels are economical, cheaper and still plenty of power and good handling

  • They don't make a 3.5 diesel. If you are referring to the 535d it is a twin turbo 3.0 diesel, a very good engine. However I don't think the police use the 535d, I think they only use the 520d...

  • ok yea sorry was refferring to the 535d. the ARVs are these but the rest are 525s

  • Actually, the Met use 530d BMW models. Standard 3.0 diesel engines with a slight increase from the standard 218bhp. No MPS marked BMW's are 535's!

    Regards

  • OK then I was only going on what an officer told me, but I stand corrected

  • it is an m5 isnt it?

  • Great vid, love the ARVs and always a good display of driving from their crews

  • Very Good mate!

  • NICE CAR, and video, and also nice use of sirens.

  • amazing'ly good!

  • Fantastic vide, really really nice car, great siren too

  • well that's just a fantastic video, please please keep these coming, they are really good! :D
