Hi there. I'm currently growing a young Grapefruit tree that was given to me by a teacher (grown from a pip) in a yogurt pot. So i have No idea what type of Grapefruit plant it is.
It is currently 1 and a half years old, aproximatly 5 inches High with 9 leaves, and about 2-3 leaves starting to apear very slowly. It is still growing in the Yogurt pot and I'm not sure if the pot is big enough anymore and the leaf growth is starting to slow down. (Next post due to character limitations)
(Next post) The plant is a lucky one as its the only one out of 4 pips that managed to grow and live, and it has fallen out of its pot completely twice as a 2 inch sapling, and its managed to keep going. it was also covered in some sort of Lilly pollen due to my mom notgivingashit about my personal things once. So I am very reluctant to repot because i fear i might damage it or finish it off, due to being inexperianced with gardening, and I understand Grapefruit trees are very difficult to grow.
Ramble Ramble. Currently the plant is getting its warmth from my laptop's fan, and is doing okay on just water. I cant afford fertilizers, or a green house, or anything fancy due to being young. (16 ftw)
I was just wondering if you were able to give me tips on how to keep it alive, and when i should finally get to repotting, and how to repot. and also what would be the best way to care for it.
It is aproximatly 5 inches high, with a 5mm thick "Stem" which is very slowly going darker and yellowybrown with speckles, which i belive is a good sign (Bark and whatnot) the leaves dont look as healthy as they should be, but they're standing up and strong. I have never plucked a leaf from it, and i dont belive there are any bug or paracite problems what so ever. But then again, Im clueless. Thanks for your help and if you need me to, I can provide any photos.
