@folcool The idea was to have someone to look dull and dry as she does to makes him the great attraction. She was supposed to be poor insignificant girl that create a love triangle. Typical of a $0.99 soft cover novel book. If they would have used a hottie, all the girls would've hated her and dislike the movie.
