You didn't show how to rip a CD, you showed how to change a setting. How do you actually RIP the CD?

@Martoxification This video was a top google result at the time due to the description of the video. At no point during the video did it actually explain how to do what the description says it explains. My version of WiMP doesn't have a RIP tab. I saw in a different video that actually showed what they said they would where it's supposed to be, but that tab doesn't appear for me. I ended up downloading something else with LAME which gives you way more control over the MP3 quality settings.

I was looking for something to send to a friend of mine who's completely clueless about this stuff, but this video is a bit too quick and undetailed. She could've at least showed how to change the bitrate from the default 128 to the maximum of 320. She doesn't even tell you to put the CD into the drive first. What's the hurry?

I have a question, do you know how to rip more than 1 cd at a time. like 2 cd's to be ripped to 2 different folders. I need to rip many cd's to my new mp3 player and i need a faster way to do it.

Good tutorial, except that I wouldn't recommend media player to rip mp3's. Its proprietary Microsoft codec is not the best available today. LAME encoder is considered the most optimal by audio professionals and for some reason media player does not use this one. That's why more than 99% of audio ripping today is done by rippers using LAME to result in much better mp3's.
