Y'all named some good tracks but here's some real creative hip-hop: "Colors", "Guessing Game", "Hands Up" - Elzhi "Spell Check" - Lil' Kim "Kenji" - Fort Minor "Never Can Say Goodbye" - Game "No Regrets" - Aesop Rock "Pick-up Lines" - Ugly Duckling "When The Gun Draws" - Pharoahe Monch "Jump Biatch" - Proof "A Song For Assata" - Common "Beatin' It" - Classified "Nobody Move" - Eazy-E "How To Survive IN South Central - Ice Cube "The Forest" - Ghostface Killah Venus Vs. Mars - Jay-Z
Got some love to add: Alphabet Aerobics - Blackalicious, Hold U - Masta Ace (feat. Jean Grae), Death of Hip-Hop - Kool DJ EQ, The Williams - Nicolay (feat. Supastition), and "Otha Fish" - The Pharcyde. These are just to add to a good list.
Damn nice list. Another one is K-rino-Valley of decision and Ras Kass-Interview with a vampire. Both have God and Satan talking to them. I think Rass is more deep and creative because it makes you think and never fails to blow my mind. 5 stars
Not In Order: Nas - I Gave You Power Nas - Rewind Big L - Ebonics Papoose - Alphabetical Slaughter Mos Def Mathematics Cormega - American Beauty Nas - Fetus Common - I Used to Love H.E.R. Biggie - Ten Crack Commandments Big L - The Heist Jeru The Damaja - You Can't Stop The Prophet I probably forgot a bunch, but here are some
Great list! I would add two songs to the discussion.
First, GZA's Queens Gambit off the Grandmasters album with DJ Muggs (a very underrated album, for the record). He does a song incorporating all 32 NFL teams into his rhymes. It never fails to blow my mind.
Second, a fairly new track on the upcoming Royce Da 5'9" album Street Hop titled Part of Me. It has the feel of I Used to Love H.E.R after listening to it.
I'll leave it at that and just advise all of you reading this to check them out.
"Society Is Brainwashed" - Ill Bill [He spreads conspiracy theories all over.]
"Voices" - Blaq Poet [He hears voices of hip-hop legends, both dead and alive.]
"One Day" - Jeru The Damaja [Puff Daddy and Foxy Brown kidnap someone called "Hip-hop" and Jeru goes to save him with help from DJ Premier and Afu-Ra.]
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT LIST! But are we just talking about lyrics? Cause dudes like EPMD, Public Enemy, and Afrika Bambaataa was sampling songs and sounds that NO ONE would think to sample. But i got some to add:
De La Soul - Millie Pulled a Pistol on Santa
Main Source - Friendly Game Of Baseball
Spice 1 - Trigga Happy
Jeru the Damaja - Can't Stop the Prophet
KRS-ONE - Higher Level and Sound Of Da Police (When he compared cops to overseers...OMG!! Classic LINE!!!)

Word, good list, but how you gonna have I Gave You Power in your top 10 and Stray Bullet in honorable mentions when Stray Bullet came before IGYP??

ive really been feelin glen close by binary star lately..
another good one, a little bit more unheardof, is fallen star by supastition; top notch creative storytelling in the form of hiphop

I already commented on this video, but I just realized that I forgot a song.
You should listen to the song "Rape" by Pharoahe Monch. It's a song about raping hip hop.

FUCK COPYRIGHTS! If someone wanted to exalt your creation, you'd think it would be no problem posting your creativity in video form.
