@lazooey I don't understand your question. This video demonstrates what Oni Team Arena looks like without any weapons, in "total melee" mode. It is possible to have weapons in OTA, but in this video they are disabled.

Oni and Halo are very differnt games, so they don't really compete in the first place - but it's true that Oni has aged impressively well, considering its lack of vehicles, multiplayer and modding tools. And somehow we feel that it's still not too late to add new content to Oni, or to revive its multiplayer support. We're working on it, sort of ^_^

Yes, the soundtrack is by "formerly known as Nightwish". I'm actually naming the tracks at 00:06, 04:57 and 9:16, which may have helped your intuition a little bit.

The soundtrack was picked by the original author of the video (see details on the right), but I am also one who enjoys listening to their "with-Tarja" albums once in a while.

nice ugh i wish someone could hack oni to make an MMORPG of it so people can make there own characters with a cool character customization in it XD that would be sweetness. and i never knew there was another nightwish fan. nightwish rules add me

Your OTA cripts are simpy awesome. I still play Oni, pretty much ever since it was released, and your OTA scripts have doubled, maybe even TRIPLED, the excitement I feel when I play. Excellent job, please keep the scripts coming! I can't get enough, it's simply fantastic.

I still play this game too. Just beat it for the ...eh I lost count. Great game with TONS of untapped potential. I'm surprised and disappointed part 2 of this game wasn't made. It was started, but it got canned. Good to see people trying to exploit that potential though, awesome job man.

OTA is *not* online multiplayer. It is single-player logic with respawning bots.

The point is to explore multiplayer-like situations, enhance AI skills, etc.

You can play this is you put the BSL scripts (see video details) into your IGMD.

Aside from the combative ineptitude, though, that "multiplayer"-ish mod seems kinda interesting. Gonna try that out.

That said, I think the dodging skills are OK: it's almost seamless recording!

As for blocking, it doesn't really pay off in Oni. People throw you, usually.
