@nayanmalig dammit! we have more than sufficient reason to propose that some form of weakly-interacting, nonluminous matter exists! The big bang is true! In the beginning there was a bigbang formed by a magical sucking blackhole pulling everything in, by a force! But nothing can come out, but this sucking magical force!. This theory is based on two postulates
1. Is that the quantum wave particle function Ψ represents the forward passage of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π itself
2. Is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π that is formed by the w- function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual!
@LoneRookRS1 i like how you ask that question as though there could only possibly be one answer. Aristotle made much the same argument for geocentricity "if earth is moving, then why do objects fall straight down", and of course everyone accepted this rationale, not even imaging the concept of relative motion.
Big Bang and geocentricity are the kind of answers mankind gives when it doesn't want to say "I don't know". The answer is out there, waiting, but sure as shit ain't the big bang.
@eleutheromaniac Fine if there is another answer or interpretation, let's hear it. Explain why distant galaxies are more redshifted than closer ones. Explain why older galaxies contain lighter elements. Explain the abundance of hydrogen and background microwave radiation. Explain the existence of time which is a form of expansion.
@LoneRookRS1 you're the dumbass for two reasons: 1) my last post clearly sailed right over your head, which is why i haven't bothered to reply since.
2) You don't understand onus of proof. I don't need another explaination, just need to prove that Big Bang isn't the correct one. So I'll explain those things when you explain: the horizon problem; the flatness problem; an explaination for 95% of universe's missing mass that is actually observable and falsifiable; and several other problems.
@eleutheromaniac The horizon problem and the flatness problem are solved by inflationary cosmology (which is most certainly verifiable). Check. The missing mass? Dark matter we have more than sufficient reason to propose that some form of weakly-interacting, nonluminous matter exists! I'm am at this very moment typing this reply on a computer on a desk in a XENON (a dark matter search collaboration) research and development lab.

@LoneRookRS1 the simple fact is the Big Bang theory based almost entirely on unproven, and in some cases unprovable, assumptions and mathematical chicanery. Very much the same as Ptolemy's geocentric universe.
It took us some 1400 years to sift through all of Ptolemy's mathematical rhetoric; I only hope it won't take quite as long to do the same for the equally ridiculous Big Bang theory.
Who says that connections between galaxies disproves the big bang? Who?! Galaxies collide all the time. Andromider is on a collision course for our galaxy right now! The gravity from each is pulling each one together. It doesn't matter about their distance!
Here is a picture of one for fuck sake! /watch?v=vevkWydA4EA
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
@AMikeOnLine Oh, thanks for backing it up with reason and logic. Great point. I applaud you.
Actually, you know what? I'm going to take your point on board... But first a little test: how much do you know about said 'atoms, photons, protons and nuclei'?
Because protons exist within the nuclei, which exists within the atom... Want to explain the wave/photon duality of light to me?
Until you know of the other means of explaining such phenomena, don' t be fool and follow such poor evidence.
Its funny how people dismiss these photos with there logic, like."This does not prove anything. It only proves that the light from the farther galaxy is connected with the light from the closer galaxy ." You have to be dumb as bricks to make that statement, and then all the morons who give it a thumbs up, why even bother.
I have been thinking along the lines of something like, the black holes are making the matter in the universe, They do this by seperating the vacume energy particles, that are opposites of eachother. one matter particle gets releced, and one antimatter partical gets sucked into the black hole. Like stephen hawking radiation. So this means that we dont have to have the big bang to creat matter...
this is a terrible argument. it only shows that these galaxies are either approaching each other, having shot out at different trajectories, or that they are further seperating, which would HELP the idea of the big bang. so much fail.
@johnnythexxxiv Your Imaginative Dark matter and Dark energy that has never been observed or proven is not science, your religion is a hoax, go away ^^
Well, that link, imaginary or real, doesn't prove that the Big Bang never happened. It proves something very, very different! And it's about Quasars and Black Holes, and what they do with space-time fabric.

this proves nothing whats at the center of most spiral Galaxy's is a black hole
lets say you had a mini black hole on your desk and you fed it a long bit of string, it would suck all that string in and brow bigger.
this time you cut the string up in to smaller parts and drop them all on your desk, some of the string will go in to making the black hole bigger but at some point it will stop feeding this will make the other bits of string gain orbit around the black hole without going in.
Just as there are grids around the earth, there are 'grids' in space. Everything is connected. Each and every one of you reading this, know that you are not only connected to each of the stars above your head, but also made of them. Look at some basic quantom physics.
"I see a small and a big galaxy closer to each other, therefore there was nobig bang, there's no redshift, there's no CMBR..." where did you learn science and logics?
In our philosophy class we discussed the possibility that we, that is! the entire universe in all its entity is a simulated reality made by hyper advanced alien races. Call it a scientific experiment. So why can't we explain the big bang? Well maybe because the simulation was created at that point and nothing existed before that. Call it a computer program being run. Interesting, yet not entirely impossible! =D
@ZeroZic It's not entirely impossible, but it would just change the philosophical interpretation of the big bang theory. It would become "the theory of how the inicial condition that the alien scientists set in their simulation would come to be if they had a much more previous state". There's nothing unphysical our wrong about the theory o th big bang.
You will become a 20 year old, unemployed, uneducated, live with mommie, loser asshole. You will sit around drinking beer, eating potato chips, smoking a little pot from time to time, and playing fucking video games for years. Eventually, at age 34, you will sit in your bathtub, and while depressed and stoned on prescription narcotics, you will intentionally overdose and die.
1) WHY would "any connection" between them invalidate the BB theory? By the way, "any" implies not just some fucking VISIBLE, apparently mass-related connection, as in this grossy noisy, very pixelated image, but also a connection by gravity, or "thought waves", or by fucking prayer, for that matter, Remember, Einstein, you said "any connection". Again, HOW does that invalidate the theory?
2) The photo is full of noise. Uh, it's called "artifact." Too much to lead to conclusions.
anyone that said that something has happened in the beginning and hasn't lived at that time period doesn't truly know what happened. All he can do is guess. one of mans guesses is the big bang. In till we have a complete theory on quantum mechanics we might be able to figure it out.......or not then we'll have more fucking questions to answer.
It is possible that the Big Bang DID happen, but the theory that we try to explain it with is wrong somehwere down the line. Then again, it could be that the big bang isn't correct at all. Questioning things is the only way to learn. Personally, I think the big bang happened, but I still believe the theory should be quetioned, that is what science is all about, asking questions.
GOD IS WAY TOO FAR FOR THE HUMAN MIND TO UNDERSTAND SO WE ATTEND TO PUSH THAT ASIDE THAT AN AMAZEING GOD CREATED ALL THIS OF COURSE EACH PERSON CAN CHOOSE WHAT THEY BELIEVE. SOMEONE MIGHT EVEN BELIEVE THAT A FROG CREATED ALL THIS, LOL SAY WHAT?
@MrGothicloveful P.S. WHEN IM ON THE TOYLET THAT CAUSES A BIG BANG !!! BUT IT DIDNT CREAT A GALAXY OR LIFE, BUT I KNOW IT CREATED A MASS FUNK SMELL HEHEHE
IGNORANCE IS WHAT IS MAKING THE WORLD GO AROUND, THE BIG BANG THEORY IS THE NEW RELIGION IT IS SACRILEGE AND CAN NOT BE CHALLENGED..THERE IS HOPE FOR MANKIND WHEN WE ARE STILL ABLE TO QUESTION OUR THEORIES BUT LETS NOT DISMISS THOSE THAT DO, LISTEN AND COMPREHEND AFTER ALL NO ONE IS THE AUTHORITY ON KNOWLEDGE.
Those astronomers were not that famous. A lot of their work was not notice by the science community. they were wrong Why would a connection between the two disprove the big bang. You are down right stupid.
@SuperMrAtheist Don't know why you're attacking the maker of this video, especially when you don't seem to understand it. But perhaps you should watch the 9 part series "The Big Bang Never Happened". I won't call them stupid for pointing out the problem. Start here: watch?v=1yTfRy0LTD0
@SuperMrAtheist He's not "twisting evidence" to fit a personal view. He's relaying one of the problems with the Big Bang theory which is anomalous red shift. Had you watched the video series I linked to, you'd hear all kinds of professional astronomers talk about that problem and others. Two connected bodies should show the same red shift, but when their red shifts are completely different, then that indicates the red shift is not doppler and the Big Bang theory has problems.
ok the so the fact that stars in between one galaxy and another mean that they are not moving away from the same point in space? could this have to do with gravity and other parallel universes?
Good video. The BBT rests on the assumption that redshift is indicative of recessional velocity. However, it turns out that it is far likely to be an intrinsic property of the objects in question. The expanision theory, therefore, rests on creaky foundations.
Halton Arp lost telescope time in the US for announcing this heresy, and moved to Germany in order to continue his research. He is often described as the modren day Galileo for daring to question contemporary dogma.
@dutchbb1979 Fawning devotion to ideology does not make anyone a top scientist. Furthermore, the fact that you resort to abuse so quickly probably says a lot about you.
i doubt that modern theory says that a smaller galaxy must be further away. we can measure the distance of galaxies using multiple methods. the first is to triangulate its position from closer objects that are moving relative to it. the second is use ion spectroscopy and then measure redshift, crunch the numbers afterward. the third is to us gravitational lensing. the fourth is to compare sizes to known galaxies. space is expanding, but it won't effect you much directly.
Holy crap! One picture! With a line between two galaxies! Clearly we've all been living a lie. And the epic music completely sold me.And that arrow? Undeniable truth that creationists have been right all along. The arrow of truth we should call it.
...
It saddens me that there are people out there that might actually believe this.
Ok lets say god does exist, why would he need to create objects to be reasons for things that happen? If he wanted there to be light on earth, if he's god, he could have just said i want there to be light on earth because i say so, he wouldnt need to create a massive star nearby
This does not prove anything. It only proves that the light from the farther galaxy is connected with the light from the closer galaxy when the light from the farther galaxy reaches it. Don't forget you're seeing the farther galaxy in a spot it is no longer in. If you had 2 light bulbs, one closer than the other, just because their light is overlapping doesn't mean they are close to each other.
@DeekyDicawdo How about through a crystal is there any type of crystal where the two light beams might be coalesce and have different effect on the light crystal output than either of the two light beams refracting in through the crystal separately.
Plus with GNR (genetics, nanotech, robotics) and other advances in medicine it is very likely that plenty of people alive now will extend their lives to see it. We are very close to the eradication of a lot of our problems via these technologies.
Also I don't claim a superint exists but it is unlikely that we are the first time, place, universe to develop it therefore it is probable it has already happened and since this being will likely consume matter to increase its ablities or access a multiverse then it would have enough potential to simulate a universe or several while retaining its exclusive identity. It is likely, then, the sim is literally within the superint in some fashion just evolving "naturally".
@miragezero Well good luck with that! When I was a child, I saw flying cars for the future, I'm still waiting to fly around like the Jetsons. Hence if anything it's probably not going to happen in our life time!
@TheAccountOfChesley Sure many people are making flying cars, but is it trendy? are they flying all over the place? That's what I implied in my comment.
wait, so the pixels of one image overlap the pixels of another image, and therefore the big bang never happened? I can put a picture of my body over the picture of a horse but that doesn't make me a centaur
Radiation impacting a 2d sensor that overlaps other radiation impacting a 2d sensor does not invalidate the rest of a myriad of observatons that make the universe *appear* old. However, not that it matters, if a superintelligence is the only being around to (not) percieve passage of time then whether it is 14 hours or 14 billion years is irrelevant just as we step through time in simulations according to our will.
This disproves nothing. Countless galaxies have satellite galaxies orbiting them-big and small. Andromeda has some so does ours. And they're quite tiny relatively.
If anything, more evidence keeps piling up to this day that supports the big bang theory--WMAP being one of the more famous, experiments with neutrinos also point towards a big bang. Dark matter and energy too...this doesn't prove much to me at all, especially since the reasoning why this disproves the big bang is missing.
This may have happened because of the big bang in fact. Maybe these two galaxies were one big one when eons ago and over time they split into two AS A RESULT OF THE EXPANSION FOLLOWING THE BIG BANG. After a while this little connection of stars will disband. Think of stretching putty until it is two pieces. That little line of putty in the middle may represent those little line of stars. And the big bang's expansion may be represented by moving my hand apart, moving the putty.
HAhahahaha XD Damn, you guys must be the smartest people on the planet! " They are connected. -> Our theories are invalid -> The Big Bang never happened"
" I released a balloon -> It doesn't fall to the ground -> The theorie of gravity is invalid!!!!!! "
If the big bang happened then why are galaxies found to be formed in groups taking the shape of bubbles? Galaxies form along the outside edge while the centers are all void of matter, see Huchra bubbles. This observation clearly shows that the big bang is mistaken. It appears that the universe did not start from one big bang but countless petite bangs spaced nearly 600Mly apart, see 2DF Sky survey. How could the bangs occur at the same time at that distance yet defy relativity via information?
lol this is bogus, the galaxies are trapped in each others gravitational field causing them not to expand, like us and the andromeda galaxy and canis dwarf mafor galaxy we are being pulled into the each
@bartviss3r Something from nothing is a more mystical belief than something from someting especially considering the level of our simulations. A strong AI superintelligence will be able to simulate this reality and the lesser intelligences within it much like we do in the game "the sims".
@miragezero This video is about an old theory and science knows very well what is going on here. Nothing mystical about that. And "nothing" doesn't exist on quantum level, only in our limited human view of the visible world. Maybe you should try reading for a while rather then writing.
@bartviss3r saying the word quantum when things move beyond quantum functions into a concept known as nothing doesn't mean we have any idea what is there beyond conjecture. Ultimately it certainly doesn't prove TBB is an event without cause- something that has never been observed in nature.
"This is why we need to teach scientific literacy explicitly in schools."
Yes, they need to teach that Creation is IMPOSSIBLE. Creation is only for stupid idiotic fools who call themselves ATHEISTS & THEISTS. Only these stupid morons believe in gods.
@fatfist, you can have anything, do anything, and be anything. If that isn't a scientific definition of a god, I don't know what is. So get your head out of that black little box. Creation isn't impossible when you know the laws that govern Creation (cause and effect).
@fatfist, very good. Now the Law of Attraction. "For aintelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; bwisdom receiveth wisdom; ctruth embraceth truth; dvirtue loveth virtue; elight cleaveth unto light; fmercy hath gcompassion on mercy and claimeth her own; hjustice continueth its course and claimeth its own; judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth upon the throne and governeth and executeth all things."
@fatfist Now the Law of the Harvest: "And the Gods organized the aearth to bring forth grass from its own seed, and the herb to bring forth herb from its own seed, yielding seed after his kind; and the earth to bring forth the tree from its own seed, yielding fruit, whose seed could only bring forth the same in itself, after his kind; and the Gods saw that they were obeyed." Creation is organization, Fatfist. No god, us included, can create ex nihilio.
I love your poetry, and I am printing out as we speak so I can hang it over my bed.....but please....sober up.....creation is impossible by definition!
There is no proof that matter is eternal. When you really think about it too, it seems very stupid. That this force can be eternal. It actually is probably more plausible that there is a creator.
If it is a process, then who is responsible for acting out this process and confirming the authoritative and unquestionable proof? Is it your Pastor or some angel from heaven?
Proof is impossible, get over it. In science, we only explain theories, never prove them.
Please explain your theory (claim) that "space & matter were created".
I didn't say that there is a creator, I said that there is a POSSIBILITY that there is a creator. I'm not going to bother arguing this sort of thing on a youtube comment section. If you truly are open-minded (Probably you are not), then you will accept the possibility that there is a creator. Now, I realize humans never, do not, and possibly will never understand this creator (if one exists), so why bother even debating about it? You put your faith in science. I simply live.
So what you are saying is that because space is made of nothing then everything comes from nothing?
That's really stupid. And yes, I acknowledge that it is possible for a creator not to exist. I also acknowledge that it is possible that a creator exists.
"I acknowledge that it is possible for a creator not to exist"
It is irrelevant what YOU or your Pastor acknowledges, asserts or forces down other people's throats.
Creation of space & matter is impossible because God cannot create space. God absolutely NEEDS space in order for Him to have his most precious superpower: FORM.
@fatfist Although I am not too religious, I know religious people may argue that god may not be in a form we comprehend. God may not even have a form. God may just be an energy. But coming from what? We don't know what the energy of god comes from. Neither does science. Science knows of energy and its universal presence, however what scientists cannot comprehend is where all energy originates. Science's theory is that energy is like a circle. It never ends, but it does recycle. (Like water cycle
The existence of a god is an issue concerning physics, not religion. Physics is the study of existence. Religion studies concepts, like faith, morals, and human emotion. Anyone claiming the existence of a 'god' entity has knowingly or inadvertently encroached into Physics. He will be met head on.
For the purposes of their presentation, the religionist has to tell us whether God is 'something' or 'nothing'. If God is proposed to be 'something', then obviously this entity has form/shape and internal structure. What its shape/form is.....is totally irrelevant. The point is....if God is something, then it absolutely MUST have form! There is no middle ground between something and nothing.
So God is a quantity or a capacity? There are no 'quantities' or 'capacities' without a human observer to observe and quantify some aspect or property of an object.
So all you are saying is: "God may just be an abstract concept".
@fatfist You're right, for all we know, god may not exist. But what I am trying to say is that people with spiritual beliefs believe that god doesn't have a form we cannot comprehend. And I am not missing your point. There indeed cannot be a "middleground" of form. And I stated I wasn't all to religious for the exact reaseon you back-fired at me. Religious existance is a concern to the scientific community. And the energy deal... my mistake.
logic fail. Instead of using the brain to think, hmm, well what could be causing this, or trying to research what it is and see if it does fall outside our theories the author just says Big Bag Wrong.
I would love is this was a stable Einstien-Rosenburg bridge that was heated to near solar temperatures by the gravitational pull of two galaxies.
nothing is even remotely known about anything. Science thinks we get closer to an answer by taking a step towards infinity. Take a step away and you are just as close as taking a step towards. anything is possible
This is no way is evidence against the Big Bang. Whoever made the video just doesn't know what he's trying to disprove. There's obviously some agenda here. This is why we need to teach scientific literacy explicitly in schools.

Typho0n86 4 months ago
this is a terrible argument. it only shows that these galaxies are either approaching each other, having shot out at different trajectories, or that they are further seperating, which would HELP the idea of the big bang. so much fail.

this proves nothing whats at the center of most spiral Galaxy's is a black hole
lets say you had a mini black hole on your desk and you fed it a long bit of string, it would suck all that string in and brow bigger.
this time you cut the string up in to smaller parts and drop them all on your desk, some of the string will go in to making the black hole bigger but at some point it will stop feeding this will make the other bits of string gain orbit around the black hole without going in.

ZeroZic 6 months ago

OmegaXDark 6 months ago
@ZeroZic It's not entirely impossible, but it would just change the philosophical interpretation of the big bang theory. There's nothing unphysical our wrong about the theory o th big bang.

@SuperMrAtheist He's not "twisting evidence" to fit a personal view. He's relaying one of the problems with the Big Bang theory which is anomalous red shift. Had you watched the video series I linked to, you'd hear all kinds of professional astronomers talk about that problem and others. Two connected bodies should show the same red shift, but when their red shifts are completely different, then that indicates the red shift is not doppler and the Big Bang theory has problems.

i doubt that modern theory says that a smaller galaxy must be further away. we can measure the distance of galaxies using multiple methods. the first is to triangulate its position from closer objects that are moving relative to it. the second is use ion spectroscopy and then measure redshift, crunch the numbers afterward. the third is to us gravitational lensing. the fourth is to compare sizes to known galaxies. space is expanding, but it won't effect you much directly.

At minimum TWO objects A & B are required before causal action can be imparted.

"then everything comes from nothing?"
Absolutely not. Matter is eternal. Did you even read the article I gave you?

God is NOTHING without form. Space precedes God!

The existence of a god is an issue concerning physics, not religion. Physics is the study of existence. Religion studies concepts, like faith, morals, and human emotion. Anyone claiming the existence of a 'god' entity has knowingly or inadvertently encroached into Physics. He will be met head on.

"god may not be in a form we comprehend"
For the purposes of their presentation, the religionist has to tell us whether God is 'something' or 'nothing'. If God is proposed to be 'something', then obviously this entity has form/shape and internal structure. What its shape/form is.....is totally irrelevant. The point is....if God is something, then it absolutely MUST have form! There is no middle ground between something and nothing.

"God may just be an energy"
energy: is a quantity (wiki)
energy: the capacity... (dict com)
So God is a quantity or a capacity? There are no 'quantities' or 'capacities' without a human observer to observe and quantify some aspect or property of an object.
So all you are saying is: "God may just be an abstract concept".
In that case, God is nothing and cannot exist.

Fascinating idea. Where is the entire video?

nothing is even remotely known about anything.
