  • People who get accepted here will have the funnest time of their life over at the academy. Life over there looks so fun. and after you graduate as an officer in the navy or marines, you will have a very successful life. and this is a COLLEGE not a boot camp

  • thats pretty cool, new balance shoes... is the "N" for navy?

  • I have a question for anyone with an answer? Is it possible to become a Navy SEAL through here. Im hoping to be one, but also want a good college education so I have a plan B after "seal days" (assuming im fortunate enough to pass BUDS)

  • @MrNinjaBro1997 It's is, I was supposed to go to buds but i couldn't because of my hernia. When I was in Pensacola for A-school some of my friends were telling me they were in divisions with high ranking officers.

  • @MrNinjaBro1997 it is. but it is tough.

  • @MrNinjaBro1997 yeah its possible. Although they aren't too keen on Officers in BUDS. and when you DO become a SEAL as an officer, your not really doing what a SEAL does. Your more of a administrator in the SEAL community. Just do it as an enlisted guy like SEALS were meant to be.

  • Brian Goss is huge

  • Naval 8::::::::::::mo academy!!.

  • 1:59 "In the Navy...." by the Village People. So gay.

  • This is College its not the navy SEALS UDT, Hardcore hell week, But they will mold them into a military leader, more of academics and some middle stress PT, and the traditional marches, This guys are not fucking killing machines like the marines or the seals, they are the future Admirals--Thats the difference.

  • @wildsurfer67 @wildsurfer67 Tell that to Admiral Olsen, the "Bull Frog." About 30 mids each year go to BUD/s through the Academy and about 300 are selected for the Marine Corps. Some midshipmen are prior marines and sailors. Some of thos Marines have been deployed, gotten purple hearts, and have kill counts. Your comment makes no sense and you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • You have to appointed by the congress to attend annapolis. What does that tell you...

  • lol @ that guy

thanks for not going to the air force

  • Can't wait to go

  • @NavySealO3 Are you serious you fucking poser...NavySeal03 huh....I hope your going there to TEACH and not be a student. Its not nice to pretend to be something you are not. Nor is it good to name yourself after something you are not.

  • @Rao665 i actually dont know what ur talking about. i want to go to the naval academy to become a Navy Seal officer. i wasnt kidding when i said i cant wait to go.

  • @NavySealO3 yeah you do know. Calling yourself as a "Navy SEAL O3" over You Tube is pretty much proving your a wannabe. and by the way, SEAL is an acronym. A Navy Seal is a blue colored marine mammal. a Navy SEAL is an operator in the U.S. Navy trained for various combat roles.

  • Hey i know y'all said it was college and not boot camp, but when do they go to boot camp and get yelled at like the air force academy? I'm only in high school so i don't know.

  • @DrewPeanutButter You go through Plebe year which is basically your whole 1st year+ the prior summer.

  • Listening to these navy guys trying to sound so tough on the new recruits is so adorable. Especially that one female.

Former paratrooper here grinning my ass off. I would laugh my ass off if I went to 'navy' boot camp.

  • @davidshultz2007 its not boot camp, its a college

  • Navy rotc :o!

  • @LiquidF0rrce my boyfriend wants to go to either VMI or the Naval Academy. Any tips?

  • They ought to shave the bitches heads. Bitches think they are equal at a minimum (which of course they're not), then they ought to have their lesbo heads shaved.

  • USAFA ftw

  • This is a joke compared to VMI.

  • i should have gone............

  • 3:11 its jonathan papelbon wearing glasses

  • do they cut your hair at first and then you are later allowed to grow it out?

  • @TheBraziliantV you must keep it trimmed at a certain length and are allowed to grow it out during classes

  • Plebe summer is 6 weeks long. It takes place BEFORE their freshman/plebe year. They still have 4 years of physically and academically demanding work ahead of them. So for all of you people who says this looks easy..try applying to this school and see how it goes.

  • @cra139 Yep spot on. And the application itself is very difficult. On top of the typical application stuff, the candidate must obtain a nomination from a Senator/Congressman (and that in itself is like applying to another school), take the CFA, maintain good grades throughout your senior year (no senioritis!).

  • "That fascist band camp nextdoor."

  • @HudsonRand fascist or racist

  • You guys do understand that these people are going to college right? There not going into there first day of bootcamp. So all of your comments about how this looks like a cake walk and how it looks so easy just makes you look stupid.

  • The thing that I hate is how short they cut the ladies hair.

  • I have a question, What are the naval academy must needs to get into the academy. Like what do I need to be good in. All subjects? I'm going into high school. And I'm not very well at math. But I have time to improve. I'm joining the ROTC. When I graduate high school I want to join the navy academy, but if I do not get accepted I will go to a 4 year collage. And join the navy boot camp. Please answer quickly. Thank you

    -Christian.

  • All you guys saying how easy this place is are retarted this is a COLLEGE not boot camp

  • @MiddleLB1 So Ironic, calling someone "Retarted"

  • It feels alot better to shake your drill instructors hand after 13 weeks of hell, This is a cakewalk compared to Parris Island.

  • Comment removed

  • is the navy easier than the marines?

  • @PunaniLicker69 yea in MCRD the would be running instead of walking and shaking hands..you dont sleep for the 1st few days in Marine Corps bootcamp and everything is in a loud and tough enviroment(Drill Instructor yelling)

  • @PunaniLicker69

    yep. and gayer also.

  • Wow... this shit is a walk in the park compared to the marines

  • @NickEsquirol I don't think you understand this correctly. This is the Naval Academy where you prepare to be a Naval OR Marine officer after you get out. This is as well a university. After you get out you can choose if you want to go into the Marines and if you do then you still must go through Marine Basic Training for Officers. It's not like going straight into the military since there are no academics in the military alone like the academies

  • everyone here should stop making fun of how these guys look. they're the ones who are actually there getting their asses kicked, while you're at home watching about it on youtube.

  • these are future sailors and marines.

  • Im guessing all these kids think real war is like COD????

  • 0:21 That's our future Navy.

  • @bloodhoun138 thts super geek

  • @bloodhoun138 You got a problem with that?

  • I also wonder how the Coast Guard Academy is compared to the Naval Academy. Anyone know?

  • no!! i don't want to get rid of my hair!

  • Is this allowed by Christians.? Can we be train to kill country's enemy ?

  • man that shits so much more chill than army.. hopefully navy takes prior service when i get out this bitch ha..

  • What are the requirments to get in?

  • @snipingace34 You can check on the website dude.

  • VMI is harder to go through, not free and generally creates better officers

  • HEY just like the My Beloved Corps. Except no screaming no asking questions that have no answer....oh and Hell expernce

  • holy shi... they actually get a handshake, walk into virtually an office building... jeebus... meanwhile the grunts well... they get to meet their DI.

Oh an Marine Corp Officers also come out of the Naval Academy as well.

  • they seem much nicer than the air force

  • @motherland86 hahahahahahaha yees!!!

  • @motherland86 Haha was thinking the same thing.. would love to try it out though

  • do you have to throw away your shoes ?

  • Lets say that you want to be a navy seal... is this a good school to go to?

  • @snipingace34

It depends. If you are academically excellent, it could be a very good option. However, you must realize if you want to be a seal and nothing else, then no. Only a handfull of the most elite academically and physically are allowed to become seals from the Naval Academy. Then again, it is statistically harder to become a seal when you are an officer and that is what that academy is all about (making officers).

  • @GrantsVideos15 Don't answer questions you don't know the answers to. Officers who graduate from the Naval Academy, then attend BUD/S, have a statistical much higher chance of making it through. "Normal" Officers who attend BUD/S, as you stated, have a higher drop out rate. If you're wanting to be a SEAL, and you aren't the top of your class physically in a sloppy-assed college, you shouldn't go to BUD/S anyways, you'd just die.

  • @chilledkirby Which part of my statement is incorrect? Yes, you must attend BUD/S after Navy and there is a lower drop out rate if you attend USNA and are able to be selected for SEAL training. The point I was merely making is it is much harder to get to BUD/S if you go to Navy. The fact that a huge percentage of every 4th class wants to become a SEAL makes it incredible competitive to be assigned to BUD/S after firstie year.

  • @snipingace34 Yes.

  • Sadly the haircut thing has not changed in years. Too bad that long hair, along with facial was not allowed.

  • nobody is gonna cut all my hair.

  • Ah, I plan to go here when I'm older and become a fighter pilot with the F-18 super hornet. Pretty nervous for boot camp, but it sounds worth it in the end. :)

  • @motherland86 i'm headed there next year but that is so true and the funniest thing i've ever heard haha

  • @motherland86 Shut up they will end up fighting for our country ass hole

  • @MrCHESSEHAM wouldnt need a reason to fight for thier country if America didnt start majority of the wars and drag other countries into it..but take a Joke fuck sake..its like you have a stick up your ass..silly yank..

  • there too soft. the oficers i mean. look thes men tried if they maid it or not. gove them respect.

  • Im gonna go 2 the naval academy (hopefully) when im older. After that, i hope to become a navy SEAL.

  • @matthewtig1 Well good luck getting in and the SEAL's! P.S. Officers(If you go to Naval academy you will be an officer) only have one chance at becoming a SEAL, while enlisting you can have 3

  • man, this looks like a load of bullshit that i dont want to deal with again... i already went to bootcamp and am filling out my papers to get in the naval academy right now but this kinda pisses me off... nasty-ass shaved head again...sounding off in stupid pointless formations .... i sure hope it's different for people already in the military.

  • @RolloTheApollo Since you're coming from the military, I'm assuming you're going through NAPS. During Plebe Summer, Napsters are usually looked up to by their fellow plebes. It will suck, but you'll be depended on by your peers. In any case, it shouldn't matter what you have to go through. You should be honored to have the rare chance to become an officer and get an college education in the process.

  • @RolloTheApollo If you didn't like boot camp, you will hate the Academy It is 4 and 1/2 years of boot camp.

  • I loved being hard on the new cadets/ plebes - it made them have something to be proud about after they were finished. It wasn't something i understood as a plebe until I became an upperclassman.

  • If woman's lib wanted equality, then.... If the men shave there heads, why don't the women? Equality is equality!

  • @Slave2Reason Because they don't.They just love nagging and complaining. It's in their nature.

  • Id never ever ever ever go into anything related to the army for as long as i have the choice not to. Never will have any of them talk to me like that, thank god im flat-footed and therefore unable to go in even if i wanted to. BUT I am thankful to those people who do go

  • Oh shit!! I ALMOST fell asleep watching this

  • ohh wow that looks tough omgeez ...lmfao pathetic ... fuckin squids i know they aint no hard dogs they all sound fucking sweet ...you kno how i got greeted when i got to the most motivating island there is ...they fucking screamed your first and last words out of your fuckin mouth will be sir is that understood?.. now get the fuck off my buss

  • my brother just got into stanford, boston college, and uva,and fordham universty .......were should he go

  • So if women want "equal treatment" by the military, how come they don't get a buzz cut just like the guys? I see all the guys in this video clip being given the skin head treatment while the girls are getting their curls tended to like they're in a friggin beauty parlor. Is that equal treatment? I think not. Truth be told, women don't want equal treatment, they want equal benefits without making the same sacrifices of their male counterparts. The haircut disparity demonstrates this.

  • @JackKangaroo1, excellent question. If they want equality, it should be equality -- real equality.

  • looks like fun XD

  • I didn't see any Marine candidates D: or do the marine officer candidates have to wear the navy clothes too?????

  • @Ib313313 As I was told by my last Group Commander you go to school for a year or 2 I can't remember and then you get to choose which branch you want.

    C/Amn Drake

  • where's the part when they all break into choreographed dance singing "in the navy"

  • naval academy is a college at the same time right? like you get your major there and everyting?

  • @Mctavish94 Yes, 4-year college degree and a commission in the Navy or Marine Corps

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! I started balding @19. Take it all off! They should scalp the girls, too. No Mercy.

  • I got into the school but instead i want to Boston College.

  • @MrCHESSEHAM i'll take your acceptance ;)

  • @MrCHESSEHAM You use the lower case i instead of upper case and write "WANT to Boston College" instead of 'went to'. Yep you're Boston College edumacated alright! LOL!

  • @MrCHESSEHAM "want to?" hmmmm...... shoulda stayed there XD

  • wtf is this shit? is this pussy camp...there all smilling and nice and shit seriously wtf is this ....

  • that girl in the navy uniform has slutty eye makeup

  • @mark4tk agreed

  • Cant wait to be there! 4 more years!

  • @xPOSSUM45x Me too!

  • Why is the Naval Academy lowering it's admission standards? for more info google "separate water fountains" by Bruce Fleming. Also, I hope the academy can overcome all the scandals (ie, VADM Fowler and Master Chief Banks uncontrolled slush fund spending, a recent QB raping another Midshipmen, female LCDR instructor working for a DC madam, 2 black female midshipmens embarassing Youtube video, etc, etc). What happened to the Academy? It use to be such an honorable institution.

  • @huskie767

If you look at the numbers, they haven't been lowering the standards. The bad behavior is just a reflection of society. Harvard, Yale, med schools - all have scandals. This type of thing won't stop and, as far as I know, there isn't a good way to screen out people who will commit these acts.

Hell, when I was at USNA there was a car theft ring and I knew the guy and had no idea he was doing those things.

  • WHY THE NAVY?!? GO ARMY!

  • @ktm13mx why army? go marines

  • They automatically call you "Ship mate" on the first day?

  • do you really have to be recommended by you congressman to get in?

  • @italianny23 or senator

  • what a nice introduction compared to the marine corps haha ORAHH

  • "Thanks for not going into the Airforce" lol

  • george bush shaved my hair xD

  • hopefully me in 3 years :]

  • Thats hopefully me next year....(:

  • wow, its been one year since we looked this dorky

  • haircuts, bcgs, and ref points- oohrah! :D

  • im mongolian guy can i join naval academy

  • all the guys with glasses have to get a new pair...sucks

  • it's a dream to attend naval academy, but my grades are definitely not good enough. can i still get into NAPS if i don't get accepted into USNA?

  • haha now go watch a marine recruits first day lol

  • They shave the guys completely but not the girls. Not fair. Double standard. If women want to be in the military, then have then get the exact same haircut as the guys.

  • @chrisman737 First of all this is college, they are still pretty young. Second of all people still date there, would you really want your girlfriend to have no hair? third of all, LIFES NOT FAIR!

  • @chrisman737 it would weed out the girls who don't want to be there bad enough. I knew a girl who went to Annapolis and yeah she said that females should be held to the same standards as men and if they can still hold out and make it they should be allowed in and felt guilty she wasn't. I totally agree with her.

  • i would go to the airforce academy or westpoint before i would go to the USNA

  • smart hair cuts

  • wish i would had done this

  • lol at 0:57 "Thanks for not going Air Force"

  • Do they split up the cadets who are going to the marines from those who are going to the navy?

  • @MrCaptainGingersnap No. Besides, noone gets their service selection set until senior year.

  • lol going from the marine induction to this is such a huge difference.

no disrespect to either branch, just saying they're so different.

  • Bah this is like my dream. Sophomore now. Doing NJROTC last two years of high school. Know the odds are against me but i would love to go to the USNA.

  • @DairyHazard My son did JROTC also and got in. The road was hard but it was fair. Good luck to you.

  • I have watched this video so many times and keep coming back to watch it!!!

I know i wont get appointed to USNA but hopefully NAPS or any other prep program will have me there in 2 more years!

im going to NASS session 1, its gonna be awesome!

  • @Jocol85 Keep up the good work...My son did not make the first go round and did a year at NAPS. I believe it helped him. He is now a sophomore at USNA. Keep your eye on the prize.

  • what is the colored band around their elbows?? is that where they had blood work done?

  • America's best.

    GO NAVY

  • My brother wants to go here or west point I'm in the seventh grade and he's a sophmore and it will be weird seeing my brother like this that's if he gets in.......

  • @SpiritGrace

make him go to the navy it much better

  • @SpiritGrace HA I know it is weird I'm also in 7th grade and one of my friends brothers left for USNA...... ever since then, I aspire for one day I can go here.

  • that is intimidating and only 1 girl............

  • Makesme wish i had gone a few years ago

  • Me too. I finished high school in 1979 not long after Vietnam concluded. Going into the military wasn't something many kids in my generation did. Maybe 7 years later, I regretted that I didn't go to USNA.

  • sup buddy i could still go i am only 23 i just dont know if it is the right choice for me now

  • @tyboy0735

    18 to 24

  • @WilliamRowlett

you wish you were in the service, is that what you mean? Sorry, wasn't sure.

  • Yes. I didn't go and I could have. I now wish that I had.

  • @WilliamRowlett same i went to boston college

  • I just watched "US Air Force BMT Haircuts" and the difference is night and day. The Navy people seem lass shouty and more pleasant.

  • WOW. they get treated so nice! LOL check out how recruits are treated

  • @marcusos1111 well yea thats becouse enlisted recruits have less than 40 days to get battle ready these people have 4 years but they will get tuffer and tuffer on them

  • Who is the guy in frame 0:11 wearing an Oklahoma shirt but giving the Texas Longhorns "hook 'em horns" sign? Is he at the right college? I can't see that he should be in Austin or Norman, OK either. But ... I still like it. My best wishes to all those fine kids in their plebe year.

  • The sign he made with his fingers isn't exclusively done for the Texas Longhorns, I'm pretty sure it was invented by a guitar player

  • I went through a similar induction ceremony at another military academy in 1973. Everybody is all smiles and so nice until your parents go home. Then they march you off to the barber shop and the fun begins....

Whether the guy is doing a "hook 'em Horns" doesn't matter ... As far as I'm concerned, being a University of Texas graduate, my team is going to be the national champion this year. Hook 'em horns and God bless that plebe. Thank all those kids for their service to our country.

  • So uh..about that national championship?

  • Yes, well, if you saw the game, you'll notice that an unfortunate thing happened to Colt McCoy's shoulder on the opening Longhorn drive. It was a great game, though, and the back-up QB did pretty well in the second half but it wasn't enough. Coulda, woulda, shoulda ... Congratulations & all my best to Alabama.

  • I like how they shave the mens heads bald and gently clip the womens hair. Special treatment is political bullshit. Equality my ass.

  • one more year til my mom can sign my enlistment papers

  • Nice short sharp hair cuts.

  • she was under Drill Sgt's then, who technically don't require a "Sir" due to the fact that they're not commissioned officers. Only officers and warrant officers get a 'sir' or 'mam'

  • Actually, they are naval academy upperclassmen. They are teaching the plebes respect and courtesy by having the plebes call the upperclass mids sir and ma'am.

  • thats gonna be me one day

  • i saw my boyfriend twice!

  • were do i have to apply if i want to cut the plebes' hair?? that would be really great.... for one day...

  • Very neat and tidy the way it should be.

  • they dont have the privelage to be individual. They make every male look uniform, every female look uniform. They have to be a team. :)
