@Diversitial Ummmmmm, that is what a retriever is for. As for the weather, its that time of year, and the dog has a fur coat for a reason. Three retrieves in a row is not going to kill a dog, that is what they are bread for. My dad used to train english springer spaniels. From him after I forwarded:

That was great. That was a VERY well trained retriever. He was experienced enough to not be distracted by the decoys and avoid all the decoy strings.

Three well marked birds with directed retrieves, meaning three birds down, yet retrieved out of series with all three marks remembered, all with a small camera on his back.

That was more than just a cute video, that was a great retriever
