Very much like homesick subtarrean alien by radiohead but that doesn't bother me. The begining of the film reminds me of a Novel called "yellow wallpaper"
One of my favorite Nick Drake songs. If I had a time machine I'd go back and ask Nick WTF is going on inside your head? I MUST KNOW!!! Great cover BTW.
Very impressive, powerful version of the great Nick Drake song. As someone who championed Drake first when I was a dj, discovering his music right after he'd died, I can credit the few who interpret or honor him this way. Beautiful rendering of the song.
Wow, thats something special indeed. The video is very good. Although quite "dark" content it sums up Nick and his musical world very well. Those who know his life will understand completely!
OK, this is unbelievable good! Thanks, I'll send you my sincere regards from Brussels. At this moment, someone is dancing in a room on the other side of the planet. This is unbelievable good (2x) ;-)
I've heard a lot of covers of Nick Drake songsand frankly, they don't cut it,but this is really good,it tends to capture the mood and meaning of the original, and technically,it's very well done.
10 years ago I'd have said anyone having a go at a Nick Drake song should be crucified, however, you have colored this song beautifully, Very nice work man.
this is a sick cover! id consider this better than the orignal, and i dont think ive ever said that before. most people cover songs with hopes of sounding exactly like them, and never above them. very good job, i really enjoyed it alot.
I love NICK DRAKE so much ...I thought I could never admit someone could perform his beautiful songs in an acceptable way... But you did! - Did it well... in your personal way, without betraying the spirit of the song and its rythm...
Love to him and to you. Ciao! greetings from Italy.
fuckin mint, the nick drake styled solo was original and subtle, this takes his sound and signature sense of melody somewhere else, great video of rural britain too, o this gives me chills
Not only you have given us an idea what it must have been to see Nick Drake play live (and on the front row for that matter) but also you are giving us an idea of what could have become of him if he were still alive. When I saw your first video - today, then I watched them all - I think envy was the predominant feeling. But very soon when you see a master at work, it's all admiration and love for music that remains.
I am really torn on this one. I admire anyone who enhances the legacy of Nick but I also believe that some of his songs should not be ramped up; Parasite being one of those. The lyrics are so heavy and are best presented unadorned. This version sounds like Dear Prudence. I love Nick and The Beatles but Nick is Nick and The Beatles are The Beatles!
Are you kidding?! This is amazing!!! Wish I could buy a copy of your version. I would totally play it over and over! Got any other covers of Nick's stuff? I think he would not only be pleased but flattered as well.
Quite nice version, echoes a lot of your own sadness for Drakes demise. Try Cohen's 'Alexandra's leaving'? Most people who cover Cohen seem to miss the point with his meaning!
sweet, tis like jeff buck/radioheadesque, which in more amped up arrangements is exactly what nick drakes style would lend itself to. great work on the guitar sounds more than anything though, shpot on!
I'm blown away by this every time i listen. You are a genius to come up with this rendition of parasite. Give us an album of Nick's music, i would wait in the rain to buy this.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Superficially, this song is about your own shadow isn't it? I know it goes a lot deeper than that, but I've been wondering about it. Really great cover, really liked the video also.
I love your take on this song. It is not often you listen to a cover of a song that you are very familiar with, and think it is a great alternative version.
Excellent version. When are you planning on playing this live?
Amazing. The original song holds a special place for me, but your version has a different vibe to it that brings out something new; the mark of a good cover.
It's very rare when I hear a cover and like it better than the original. That's the case with your version of Parasite. Extremely well done my friend.
Absolutely fucking amazing man. Ive watched all of your vids now. SPot on every time. I can get a couple of songs right, most of the time, but singing as well., no chance any time soon! MAN! and this version. Would he have liked it? Cant see why not. To see that recognition would be so what he wanted. Amazing version. Where are you from ? USA?
Everybody thinks that he can cover Nick Drake because the songs are so great. I heard Beck's interpretation before but this cover is way way better. It gives a "plus" to this song honoring the original but giving it a new taste. I would definitely watch you in concert but I'm living in Hungary so it would be very hard:)
Wow. I just discovered your channel today and was amazed by your ability to emulate Nick Drake. Now I found this song and am most impressed with your spin as well. Very well done, Sir and thanks!
Are you gonna do any more of Drake's songs like this one?.. you know with, drums and all the rest? Looking forward to hearing some more done this way.
This is really a fantastic arrangement! Great electric guitar. To be honest, I find many of Drake's own choice of accompaniment rather awful, especially on Bryter Layter, Pink Moon being the best as far as instrumentation goes, in my opinion.
Excellent rendition on all levels. I love your arrangement and touches of electric guitar. Parasite electric??? Before your post I wouldn't have thought it possible for me to ever like a remake like this. Somehow you did it, amazingly. Thank you for giving this to us.
An awesome cover Sir. Your cut is taken right from the heart, it may even be better than Nick's if I can say that and not dangle my soul to perdition. Well done and more.
I waited so long that you put your own mark on the songs. This is so beautiful, this is real. Much better than the note to note covers, which are of course also beautiful. Great!
i have always said that the songs on Pink Moon should never be covered, cause no one can capture his songs like him. i still think this, but this cover surpasses any expectations of a cover of a nick drake song. very well done, and its good to see someone who cares about the songs so much. great work.
Remarkable. Baffling that a cover of such precious music could be done with such taste. You obviously respect Nick's songs a lot - you could be trying to release these for profit, but you're posting them for free. All of your Nick covers are as haunting as his own. To capture Nick's songs the way you have done is remarkable.

Wow, so good! I was so moved at the end with the electric guitar and the wonderful images. If Nick had made it, and he had had the chance to play some of our great music festivals, I can imagine this version as his headlining Glastonbury/Coachella encore. One can only dream....
I have waited a while to comment on this- letting it sink in over the months- what an excellent cover this is- absolutely outstanding. Great job man. I would be interested in knowing what guitar/amp/processing you used- strat or other single coil by chance? Great tone-nice overdrive sound on that ax- another Drake cover homerun- the video is a great add as well. Well done!
Hey,thanks for all of your positive comments...the electric on this is a Tom Anderson Classic which is a strat style guitar,I think I used a combination of single coil/humbucker depending on the part...as far as amp, this is actually all Pod so I'm glad it sounded good enough that you thought it might be an actual amp...I sweetened it(and most all the tracks for that matter)with a plugin by PSP called the Vintage Warmer which I definitely recommend if you're using a DAW..hope that's helpful.
hey man, can you pleeeaassseee do parasite alone with your guitar? I so want to see someone pull off the simultaneous 3/4, 4/4 thing while singing with his phrasing, never seen it done, this is beautiful!
Quite beautiful, thanks Jim for sharing. To Plectrum34, a wonderful interpretation, dare to say...even better than the original! Just checked your "cello" song cover, too..thank you. R5*/save/sub.

Fantastic intro... I'd always thought Drake's stark version couldn't be improved upon, but I really like your arrangement. Thanks, I love it.

hey man, can you pleeeaassseee do parasite alone with your guitar? I so want to see someone pull off the simultaneous 3/4, 4/4 thing while singing with his phrasing, never seen it done, this is beautiful!

Quite beautiful, thanks Jim for sharing. To Plectrum34, a wonderful interpretation, dare to say...even better than the original! Just checked your "cello" song cover, too..thank you. R5*/save/sub.
