  • its a sin 13-2 was shit compared to this

  • at the end this song made me cry so much, XIII may not be perfect. but the story is, its beautiful, it touches your heart, and changes you inside and gives you hope for a better future.

  • OK, I'll admit it, when this song started playing at the end of the game, I cried like a baby.

  • Guys, are we forgetting that basically every game since Final Fantasy VIII has had at least one vocal song somewhere in the game, usually during the ending FMV? This isn't an unusual occurance, so quit complaining.

  • Would Kingdom hearts count as Final fantasy?

  • @garrett1433 Some say no but I say due to KH, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts are practically interchangeable now.

Haha, it'd be awesome if a KH character made a cameo appearance in an FF game...especially if it could be someone from the short-lived Organization.

  • okay .... just like Bluedrag000n , I WAnt Nobuo Uematsu :(

  • did not think it would fit at first but after playining the game and gettin to know the story i do not think thay could of picked a better song

  • If this sing didnt play during the last cut scene..i wouldnt have gotten goose bumps. And probably wouldnt have cried :')

  • OOOONLYYYY SHITTT :c when i listen this song y think that everything is possible :) but at the same time its make feel lonely and sad :( like the game :D great song....

  • OMG!!! I love this song. Everytime I hear this song, I think of the ending ^_^

  • Fuck Charice for singing the theme song for FFXIII-2, her voice doesnt suite the fucking game and it should have been Leona again, her voice is so smooth and incredible compare to that fucking bitch Charice.

im gonna get the japanese version just to avoid her annoying ass voice.

  • well, the game sucked something fierce...but if there's one thing square enix is good at, it's making good music that, even when the game sucks, makes you come back for more. just listen to this game's battle theme! GOD! it's so freakin' EPIC!! >_<

  • cant wait for -2!!!!

  • @Takashi0ukana It's coming out in early 2012. It's going to be so awesome!!

  • Yoko Shimomura > Leona Lewis.

  • I love this game and song :)

  • woot! I finished FF ! :D

  • When I first heard this song playing in the background of the end of the game, I really saw how all the characters had not let each other go, and how they had progressed so much throughout the story. I thought it(well, the chorus at least) really showed how much everybody had changed, especially Hope and Lightning. I've never been a fan of pop music, but I still liked the song. i'll probably get a lot of people responding saying they didn't like the song, but it's just what I thought.

  • Love this song, it goes so well with this game. Best Final Fantasy to me. Even though I know alot of people would disagree, I actually liked the fact it was linear.

  • @TheDev445 I agree with ya man, its the best FF imo. Only one I like actually.

  • LUV THIS GAME BUT NOT AS GOOD AS FF 12 FF 10 DQ 8 BUT TIES WITH DQ 9

  • Everytime i hear this song. It just reminds me of the characters for some reason. I think the lyrics reflect how Hope has to move on without his mother there anymore and the others living and moving on without Vanille and Fang. It really fits the game, I dont care what anyone else says.

  • @RaxielTheBlackTerror it really does fit the game,it is an inspiring song....i used to listen to it a lot ,just to remember ff13,since i cant play it as i dont have a ps3(now im not sad anymore)....it also motivates me when im drawing CGI characters or making a pc game...

  • @RaxielTheBlackTerror Oh cool so Vanille and Fang die? Cause i didnt beat the game yet... >:[

  • @1upZombie

Whatever. You were gonna figure it out eventually.

  • @1upZombie *Spoilers* if you still havent beaten the game, Vanille and Fang don't die, they become Ragnarok and save Cocoon, then turn to crystal to hold up the crystal pillar to keep cocoon safe.

  • @1upZombie they don't die, they turned into a crystal. I'm sure they'll be back in 13-2

  • @XxDushXx

    @JNAC875

Thanks guys lol, still havent beaten 13! Lol. Its ok though. Im in the middle of Chapter 11.

  • @1upZombie I had finish this EPIC games three days ago. ;)

  • @XxDushXx bad news my friend there are not back in 13-2

  • this is ridiculous. Everytime i hear this song i feel chills. You can just TELL how much soul is put into this song.

  • This song is a wonderful theme for FF13 but it sadly doesn't hold a candle to those memorable songs from past ff iterations: "1,000 words" (japanse vocal version)(FFX-2), "Eyes on Me" (FF8), sigh. Overall, though, I must say FF13 does have a beautiful soundtrack.

  • @FF7CloudStrife7 I agree. Although FF13 has a great soundtrack, it's too American for me, and I prefer Asian stuff over American stuff.

  • american? please explain

  • @JustSayTony British not American....

  • @JustSayTony

    That's kind of stupid.

Not the fact that you like "Asian stuff over American stuff" but that you would really even say that.

Quality is quality, doesn't matter where it comes from. Something shouldn't suddenly become less than what it is because it's American, British, Asian, whatever.

  • Men cannot sing this song because of the lyrics "I put on my make up" We don't use make up

  • @siuol0002 Justin Bieber could sing it, lol.

  • @sicktrickable OH HELL NAW THAT SHIT IS NOT COOL, I WILL CUT HIM.

  • @CannedBacon I know, he's a fag, that's why he can sing this song. She says she's putting on her makeup. And believe it or not, Gayber does also use makeup.

  • ecaaaa que horror em pensar q os outros temas foram eyes on me suteki da ne e agora isso criatividade 0 neh dona square

  • JUST BEAT THE GAME WUUUUD UP :DD

  • When I beat the game and heard this song, not gonna lie a lump formed in my throat. I'm not an emotional person, but the ending of the game was pretty touching.

  • Awesome song and awesome game. Now im gonna play it again.

  • :') I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • where is Nobuo Uematsu !!!

  • @bluedrag000n @bluedrag000n He is on Final Fantasy xiv, he'll compose the entire music score for that game

  • @bluedrag000n he came back for FFXIV, have you checked out lost odyssey?

  • @kowru FF14? Is that the same MMORPG that's received a lot of negative feedback causing President Wada to apologize 3 times for their shitty product, and that's also caused Square to scrap their entire development team, even though it won't affect their on average amazingly slow development speed to the point that people will just quit and go back to WoW? Man, that's gotta suck for him. He should've been assigned to 15 to give it a chance.

  • @bluedrag000n but cmon, this song is great too!

  • I like it I just finished the scene where sazh finds out his sob is l'cie

  • i bet this is the game i have played the most cause like one day i went to play it again and my main file had 130 hours of gameplay in it i was like holy shit!! i dont think i have ever spend that much time in one game

  • i think like the japanese one better tho

  • J'ad♥re cette musique !

  • @ 1:11 and 2:16 my favorite line. They just shake and try to break whatever.... It's epic.

  • i used to hate leona, but i dislike her a little less now, but this has nothing to do with ff13, the music doesnt really match the theme of the game, and tbh i dont understand a word she is saying in this song

  • @calderposse You're an asshat, sir. Double-dumbass on you.

  • @calderposse well it does kinda match final fantasy a little of u played it all and finished it and crap and i can hear wat shes saying perfectly and besides basicly every singer u hear u cant really kno wat there saying

  • Good song, terrible lyrics. They should have had her sing this in some other language so I could imagine this having something to do with the game.

  • great song, but got nothing to do with FFXIII. Couldn't they at least ask her to sing a song SPECIFICALLY for the game?

  • @YojimboAuron

What do you mean it has nothing to do with the game? The entire game's about what you do in the face of losing the ones you love, and how much this loss devastates the main cast. Even the villian's only doing what he does in an effort to see the creator again, overcome with the pain of loss.

What would you rather have her sing about, being stuck on a floating city with a deathcurse and a bitchy female version of Cloud?

  • @PyrosNine

it has nothing to do with a game. because it was attached at the last minute when game was over year ready to appeal to western audience.

Only 16 year old would look for connection to a game in a song that was written and performed without even the idea about FF13.

  • @YojimboAuron You're an asshat, sir. Double-dumbass on you.

  • @PyrosNine Well isn't Cloud a little Bitchy to XD?

  • I think this song is by far better than "Kimi ga iru kara," because the Japanese theme just sounds like a redundant theme. Don't get me wrong, the song is nice, but Leona Lewis's music is at an entirely different level of greatness, that of which I believe is higher than the original theme. This song is amazing and it gives a better atmosphere and outlook on the game.

  • 10000X Better than Japanese version, my opinion.

  • im japanese.but i think this song fit XIII.

It is a song to give me vigour.

  • Shit music, i prefer japan version

  • This is a nice song, but it doesn't fit with the ending.

  • Comment removed

  • The two musics are great, but japanese version owns...

  • should have kept the japanese song...

  • Is this song in Japanese version of the game too? I hope not. This song is just too ordinary for a Final Fantasy. I loved Eyes on me and Suteki da ne(they were beautiful) because they matched the game. Even the lyrics were about the game. I´m not saying that this song is bad but it´s totally not Final Fantasy- like in my opinion.

  • @Seunia

No, this song is definitly not on the japanese version. The song 'Kimi ga iru kara' is the japanese version, in my opinion I find it alot better than this song 'My Hands' I like this song, but I just don't feel that it fits, like you said.

  • @frubamaniac409 trust me it fits, if you watch the ending with the song

  • @kanjok3 :

Acctually, you're right I haven't realized that until I listen to the song multiple times since I have it on my ipod, and play it non-stop.. Haha.

  • well good thing this isn't part part of the official soundtrack.

  • BUT Didn't they write "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" specifically for final fantasy?? How Can it Not fit?? people are stupid to think that "my hands" is better. They don't know shit about proper song selection. FOOLS!!! It’s just like when they do a custom crappy English opening for animes (i.e. cardcaptors). They should have left it alone like they currently do in animes (bleach, soul eater, gundam 00, etc...) where would we be without those themes??? Huh? HUH!? Answer me!!!!!!!!!!!! jk but really? Where?

  • @bassgasmask The lyrics my friend. Plus they had trouble translating or some shit idk. But it seems to fit better in the endingf

  • @Cancer8006 So basicly spam death and hope it dosent kill me just by moving its foot? Awesome. Thanks, ill try that later.

  • @Cancer8006

70 hours into it for me. Im still trying to raise enough gil to buy that traphezohdrod or whatever its called to Upgrade Lightnings Flamberge to Omega Weopen. I love how they included a battle arena-like thing as well. Fave game since X(10)

  • This game was fucking beautiful. the ending was amazingly genius and epic.

  • @Cancer8006

"OH NOEZ. I HAVE TO THINK ON MY FEET! THATS SO HARD FOR MY IMMATURE MIND TO COMPREHEND!" "UH-OH I HAVE TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE JOB PER CHARACTER SO I CAN SURVIVE? I CANT PLAN STUFF THAT COMPLEX! I HATE THIS GAME!"

The change was great. The battle system still keeps me entertained even after 6 hours. Hell i beat it yesterday and now i cant stop completing missions and whatnot!

  • I admit, this has got to be one of the best final fantasy games ever since VII. I cried my eyes out to the ending. . .How could anyone hate this game?

God damn 'hardcore final fantasy fans'. Theyre like a mixture of video game fanatics and the drama club.

  • @RaxielTheBlackTerror I am a mixture of those two, honestly. And I also am a huge FF fan and I have to say this game was pretty decent. I really enjoied it as well, but it's not comparable to some of the greats in FF. (6, 8, 9, even 10) Definitely a very fun RPG, with very good characters. The story needed some serious work, though. Especially the last few chapters.

  • @Zeldarulah i think the story was pretty awesome but yea compared the 7 and 10 it wont make it that far but i still think it was pretty good expecially since it was the first final fantasy on one of the new gaming consoles

  • Still preferred the Japanese song, but this is also good.

  • I'm so glad I bought this game, because I'm now hooked. I know it's not the best game, but I enjoy the whole plot of the story and graphics. And this song fits so perfectly with the storyline.

  • You mean Leona is NOT a black woman? Surprising to me, sense her voice and name sound like a black woman's. hehe

  • @IThinkBeyond

She`s like half Carribian and half British, if I remember.

  • who would have thought that x-factor would ever have a part in final fantasy

  • personally, i can relate to this song, except for i put on the make up part of the lyric, lol, this song caused me to cry,

  • I hate how 13 has so many haters. I realize it's not the best final fantasy, but I still love this game.

  • @MoogleEJA i think ff13 is really good sure cloud and tifa are not it it but most ppl know final fantastic for them

  • @ChojiAkamichi1

I'm not going to lie, but FFVII was super depressing.

My personal favorites are FFX, FFXII, and (of course) FFXIII.

  • I love you final fantasy XIII <3

  • this song is so beautiful = ) and I like FF13

  • this song is very good, i like it °° and even if at first the game didn't cought me in, i've learned to like it A LOT

  • The Epic part is this song isn't even in the maingame, although it's a beautiful song Serah's Theme is 10x better :)

  • @sorahearts325 it is at the very end of the game

  • This theme made me love final fantasy. Leona lewis is my favorite singer, and it just makes this game for me ten times better. I don't know any other japanese or whatever person who could nail a song as epic as this.

  • i never even heard this in the game?

  • Who else feels tears in their eyes from this song and many of her others? Thumbs up if so.

  • 50 people were Japanese fanboys that don't like songs that they play in the US.

  • i prefer jap version more dan english.. :) eng is not too bad

  • @FrogMast3r you do know it's not a 'version', it's a totally different song...

  • @iziksquirel yeah hahahaha yeah my bad my bad

  • ff12 for me, i didnt want it to end, there are some final fantasy games that you just want to end because it kind of leaves a hole?

  • Just finished downloading the soundtrack! ^~^

  • Imagine Ragnarok, how many hands would he hold?

  • @Rememberance123 haha i laughed so hard when i read that.

  • Comment removed

  • @AlbinoOctopus 58... --' fitting the game or not, it's a beautiful song <3

  • 50 people have never held hands with anybody... That's sad :(

  • i thought the game was amazing, and this song is awesome, but i personally liked thew story of FFX better. if you really like Final Fantasy games i highly recommend Chrono Cross for PS1.

  • I swear when I found out what the Icon in the background came from in the end I was completely shocked!

  • 49 people need an ass kickin..

  • LOL at 3:05-3:10

  • Dude this game was the greatest game i ever played, Battles and story. And i uno about you guys, but im not too fond of open world. Man. I love this song, makes me think of the ending and makes me cry :D

  • simple lyrics, amazing emotions evoked

  • man, leona lewis is probably getting so much credit for this song beeing in FFXIII, which she should, but I gotta say, it's not really that good of a song. didn't really care for it that much.

  • No words to describe this song, really, I have no words.

  • 0:41 for me is when it starts getting good. Before I just go bleh.

  • the best game besttttttttttttt

  • The Song is good, but it's got no connection to Final Fantasy XIII

  • @xxSteviexxx lol... they reunite at the ending. go read the lyrics if you really cant see why ff13 put this as the ending song. its so obvious just listening to it

  • @mosda1 I did, And It still has nothing to do with ANY of there storys. Go play the game if you really CAN see why Final Fantasy XIII put this as the ending song.

  • @xxSteviexxx

How do you NOT see how it fits? It's metaphorical, in a sense, by saying "My hands only agree to hold your hands and your hands will not let me go." It's mainly talking about how through the whole story, Snow clung onto Serah's "hands" and refused to let go to see her again in the end. Same with Lightning and Serah and even Hope holding on to the memory of his mom.

  • Weeaboo's gonna hate. This song is amazing.

  • beautiful

  • I simply love this song. And after playing FF XIII, and watching the ending when I beat it, this song tends to make me tear up, if not out-and-out cry.

  • LOVE THIS SONG and FINAL FANTASY XIII

  • i just finished the game today after my big sister fought orphans first form for like 5 times !!! YAY YOUTH! :'D

  • This game was OK...

im use to FFIX, and FFX. I want to go to a town and talk to people. I want to be able to choose if i want to go out on my mission or sit in the town and play around. I want to be able to go lvl up my people when i want. The Battle System was AMAZING! I love that, but let me be more free.

  • Um, this song has NOTHING to do with the ending... Good song, but this song implies a strong relationship between two people. Um, how exactly does this fit FFXIII?

  • @ JenovaMember i guess it has SOMETHING to do with it, its about staying together as a family :3 they went through alot, but at least theyre still together, and vanille has fang and vice versa! :)

  • @JenovaMember Snow and Serah are the only thing I can think of.

  • @JenovaMember fang became ragnarok because barthandelus said that only one of them would destroy cocoon; ragnarok is a cie'th, and failed once, but anima noticed that it was too soon, so had both fang and vanielle crystallized. fast foward several centuries, barthandelus gets cocky, and anima releases the oerba villagers, and gives them four more companions with the focus to clarify and assist. the true focus for fang and vanille: bring humanity home to pulse

  • @JenovaMember I think it has something to do with all the group... They became a family during the game. And, if you think again about it, you can notice that it perfect fits for Snow and Serah, Sazh and Dajh, Fang and Vanille... It's just beautiful... And hear it when Vanille and Fang holded their hands absolutely made me cry... :')

  • 49 people failed their focus

  • @tetealfre wait, does that mean 650 people have? OMG!

  • @tetealfre LMFAO

  • @tetealfre Now it's 50

  • @tetealfre and who are those 49 people?

  • I love Final Fantasy and I love this song (I own 2 Leona Lewis albums) but I don't think they should have incorporated the two together. They should have written an original song specifically for the game.

  • too bad it has nothing to do with the game!

  • i hear video game song more then real life songs~

  • @erickzlyke160 Actually, this song wasn't intended to be a video game song when it released. It was used afterward.

  • @WESKERfromEVIL oooo

  • im sorry i hear video game songs more then real songs~

  • I love Leona and Final Fantasy <333

and i am completely crying right NOW....its soo beautiful ^^

  • this is EPIC!! :D

  • where can i download this song?

  • just beat the game tears came down my eyes just beautiful best game of 2010 i dont care wat anyone says final fantasy 13 is a beautiful and awesome game and im the master yall dont know nothing so whoever gonna say something negective fuck you

  • @NarutotheSage09 When I beat the game I was thinking the exact same thing. Great game.

  • @theman9119 hell yea

  • It sounds like she's saying, "But when I think I'll be alright, I am always stronger." Grrr... I hate it when songs sound like they are saying one thing, but it's something different.

  • That song doesn't even make any sense, how does it relate to FF13 at all? goddamnit this is so frustrating.

  • @howiloggedin

    *ENDING SPOILER*

Well, in the ending, Sarah and Snow reunite, so I think this song fits that part the most. The rest of the ending, I'm not sure how this song fits at all...

  • She did well getting into Avatar and FF :)

  • Why does everybody use graphics in an argument? Graphics don't make a good game. I'm not saying that Final Fantasy XIII is a bad game, but it's unfair to judge its greatness on graphics. It's the newest Final Fantasy, so it's going to have superior graphics. Final Fantasy XIII isn't really all that special. It's a pretty decent game, but it's not the best of the series or close to being the best. I used to think FFXII was pure utter crap, but it's better than XIII BY FAR.

  • @JenovaMember

I liked 13 alot more than 12 :/ its just a matter of preference

  • @DragonElf01

I find XII to be more gripping in gameplay. You have the freedom of deciding what you want to do next. Do I want to continue the story, or do I want to complete one of the various sidequests? In FFXIII, you're pretty much forced to move through the story until you get to that one area that gives you some freedom. XIII is pretty linearity as in you move from point A to point B (much like FFX). With FFXII, however, you can explore the vast world of Ivalice.
