'Gothic' genres include gothic rock like Bauhaus and Siouxsie And The Banshees, deathrock like Christian Death and 45 Grave and darkwave like Black Tape For A Blue Girl and the early Clan of Xymox. Murderdolls, Marilyn Manson and the likes are too different from the roots of gothic to be considered so. Hope I helped ya

Horror punk is a great genre. It's suppose to be b-movie rock and roll, without any pretension about pseudo-intellectualism. You get what they give; simple verse-chorus punk rock with lyrics about zombies, graveyards, and low-budget grindhouse flicks. It's fun - all it needs to be.
