  • @abrilcerecer I know he was and this show was retarded and stereotypical laughing and giggling at every category being read; I mean were Beavis and Butthead in the audience?

  • i will go trick or treating until donny osmond goes back to school

  • this is in the white and nerdy music video

  • I think that Donny Osmond is QUITE annoying.

  • Donny Osmond wasn't bad. While he was not exactly Dick Clark or Bill Cullen, he was definitely better than Davidson.

  • I actually was a contestant on this version of Pyramid this week and played with Elaine Hendrix and Tim Stack. I went to the top of the Pyramid with Elaine and won $10,000. Tim Stack, while very funny, is a horrible Pyramid Player.

  • Donny didn't do THAT bad with Pyramid, though he did get rather annoying when he came rushing up @ the end when a illegal clue was given in the winners circle going "OH OH OH OH!!!!!!"

I think the 6 in 20 format ruined the game, though I wasn't quite a fan of the set either. Just seemed a little too dark and minimalist; otherwise it was a "decent" revival, though some tweaks to gameplay and a remaped set would have done wonders.

  • Actress Katie Holmes. And frontman for Smash Mouth, Steve Harwell. Today on Pyramid! And now, here's the host of Pyramid, Donny Osmond. Hello, everybody, welcome to Pyramid. Nice of you to join us. Hope you got your donuts and soda, 'cuz we got 2 contestants and 2 celebrities. Andrew Kline is a lawyer playing with actress Katie Holmes. And Athena Schwartz is a Medieval Times princess playing with Steve Harwell of Smash Mouth.

  • Rick was on Lingo.

  • It's no wonder that this version of Pyramid was such a flop. The set was cold looking along with it's eerie lighting; irritating techno crap music; changed game play; Donny Osmond as host, etc. I don't think Donny's quite up to the challenge for gameshow hosting duties. Dick Clark was superb as the original host, so was Bill Cullen. They don't make hosts like that anymore or gameshows for that matter.

  • Actually I Like this pyramid set, it's more 21st century, sleek black floor.

  • I thought that they were going to use the old studio, clearing out the dust and cobwebs. Donny Osmond did a good job hosting Pyramid for 2 years, but maybe most people are comfortable with Dick Clark hosting it. He did that show the BEST! The techno dance theme music was cool, but nothing can beat the horns of the original. The set has more of a rock concert feel with the lights and plasma screens.

  • I Would love to see a remix that is across between 2002-04 theme and the 1982-88 theme.

  • Timothy Stack is proof that genetic cloning was used on Bill Rafferty. :-)

  • Who was the announcer on this version of Pyramid?

  • John Cramer, the BEST announcer of The Weakest Link (US). (I don't see why they didn't choose him to host the daily version of WS, BTW, but they chose a woman, who don't fit!)

  • I HATED this version from the bland "Pyramid" name (no amount), the tuneless "music", the long double-entendre category titles, the Sony laptop computers, annoying graphics and the cheap set that looked more like "Who Wants To Be a Pyramid." The only plus was Donny Osmond, an energetic and excellent host. Sony successes like "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" evolved over time. The radical overhaul of Bob Stewart's classic was another prime example of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

  • You know... if Donny Osmond is the best part of your show, that tells you all you need to know.

  • Is that suppose to be some kind of a shot against Donny?

    Donny Osmond is the greatest!

  • Dick Clark should have put a hit out on Donny, man. He sank a classic.

  • YOU couldn't be more wrong.

This show got cancelled because the American audience is becoming more and more a bunch of uneducated morons that can only follow the simplest of premises in game shows.

  • Remember when Timothy Stack played the cold-blooded Simon Chillings in Punky Brewster's "Changes" episodes?

  • Rick, I see that you won $10,000 on "Scrabble", but am I right in assuming you didn't do as well on "Pyramid"? Is that why this clip is as long as it is?
