I remember getting into this game 15 years ago, it was crazy the way people spend money on it, was almost like a desease.

The big card was black lotus, i was lucky having one in my hand for 1 minute in those years.

Then, after tempest i lost taste for the game and i quit.Well today i still have my deck :) and some non trade cards for remind me those pretty times.

You haven't even play tested it. I have used it extensively and can say, in the middle of a crisis it will pretend to mana burn you. A black lotus if you play a fetch isn't as good as it sounds.

Er plowthrough8, here is the issue. Fairies(I don't play fairies, actually I hated fairies, the name is a legend of zelda reference, since you bottled fairies for extra lives) relied on having the fairies in your hand. Lotus Cobra relies on the fact you have lands, what if you draw him late game. What if, the amount of what if's for this guy is insane(The bad outnumber the good).

i think 1 person at my pre release got 1. it was foiled lol, but the most expensive card pulled was a foil misty rainforest which is a 75$ card.

Imo lotus cobra is a bit over rated, just like baneslayer considering the fact that my red/black deck can kill it 90% of the time with lightning bolts, terminates or seismic strike lol. My best card pulled was probably nissa revane(which is a great card)

So, I was goign into my second draft this afternoon. I cracked my first pack, started looking through it, crap, crap, hmmm, whipsnare trap might be good, get to the foil...Lotus Cobra! I slammed that card down so hard on the table I almost broke it. Of course everybody looked, and I was like...I love those foil lands and everybody thought I was crazy. When I played him in a game for the first time, everybody 60+ people were instantly like...!!! :o I will give you everything I own for that :)

First things first: "It won't change anything, therefore there's no point talking about it" is just one of the worst and most annoying things people can say.

My biggest prerelease highlight was kicking my Rite of Replication, targeting my Rampaging Baloths, then dropping two lands off the top of my library with Oracle of Mul Daya. So yeah, that was six 6/6 tramplers and twelve 4/4s.

I saw BDM at my Pre-Release use Lotus Cobra and was able to use it's ability for like 5 landfall triggers against some kid. It was probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

wooo. Pre-release today was awesome. Opened a nissa revane in my first booster, (nissas chosen 2 boosters later) and i think its funny that everyone dissed it. But play it, tick it up 1, get a 2/3 for free, and get it to 7 and bam, elves galore. Green white blue is a kickass trio in this set.

was at a pre-release sealed last night, it was fun, I went with a black white vampire and kor deck with the very cool "Ob Nixilis the Fallen" mythic thrown in for his awesome landfall. I have to say that I am loving all the new vampires in this set, and, for the most part, landfall abilities have been game winners, atleast in sealed. Were having a draft tomorrow, so hopefully all our decks will be better. Ob Nixilis was the only mythic I got....kinda a bummer.

brave the element saves creatures from volcanic fallout? i thought volcanic fallout is a global effect just like WoG or DoJ and u could not stop that effect unless u have a counter.

One of the things protection does it prevent damage from sources with the specified quality. Protection prevents spells of a certain color to target the creature as well as damage from the source of color. WoG and DoJ doesn't target the creature specifically or do damage, thus getting around the protection effect.

We all know how much of a hoax that is and anyone with half a brain can tell you that, especially since there is no video of the pack opening and since it's already been opened with the card on the other cards ripped from the pack, I mean I could take any old card and place it on top of a pack, take a picture of it, and put it out on the internet and claim the same thing. Some people who have opened packs have reported to find moxes, old duals, and some other cards from Beta-Antiquities. The cards are not reprints, but actual cards from the original printing of those sets.

mythic rares have always been cards that you could top deck late in the game and turn the tables completely. theres some not so good ones but are serious threats on the battlefield, therefore lotus cobra and so on should not be mythic. top deck that turn 8 and ....FUCK.
