@MrSarahblackett Do you mean that the redirect is not working, did you put in the full page name with the hteeteep and the vvvv (Youtube won't allow the real thing), WPX4 has a bug that won't allow you to simply choose the page as if you were doing a simply page link.

@LivingWandsworth Sorry I was not very clear the message does get sent to my email but on the actual site once the comment is submitted it says page cannot be found so a customer would not know whether thier comment has been submitted. i found the forum tricky as i used my laptop to do a test registeration user on my forum from a different email, i.e not the same computer that i was setting the website from.

if you select straight to a email like you said gmail,msn,yahoo or whatever.. do you need to bother with a confirmation page ?

@nicenoughphil No you don't. But i would not recommend using straight to email, becuase if the visitor doesn't have an email client or the correct type, it would just give an error message. Also it puts your email address in which can be harvested by spammers/robots. SWR of PHP script is the way to go.

@LoniHart You can't use the same registration username and password for the forums as you did when you registered. You need to register seperately for the forum. Also just to clarify they are not my products, I'm just a user.

@LoniHart If the pages are HTML you maye able to import the site. Though I would recommend simply rebuilding it. You can add flash apps (SWF) to you site.

On the Action screen I picked option 2 "An email Address" (and entered my website's contact address - info@____________), but I'm not receiving any information from the site. Any thoughts?

@Kenni024 Hi, the way opt 2 works is that it will try to use your email program (outlook, thunderbird, livemail) to send the data, but this may not work if you or your visitors do not have an email program, which is common as most people use webmail these days. There are also other limitation/problems in using opt 2. I would recommend using SWR to submit the data,

I have a Website written in NetObjectsFusion 11 but am wanting to re-write it in WebPlus X4. The problem is I cannot for the life of me see how to set up an integrated guestbook in WebPlus X4 and am coming to the conclusion that third-party software/application will be needed. Can this be right? Guestbooks are pretty basic and must surely be included in the Serif software somewhere. Any insights appreciated!

@shardennefroider - The closest thing in WP is the SmartObject shoutout box.

Of course you can always look for a guest book script on Google there are loads out there that you can integrate. In recent year thou gustbooks have wained in popularity due to spammers and abusive comments.

@Ziggurathss Yes you can. If you go back to the form wizard and from the control list choose, 'predefined' there is already a countries list combo box built in which you can use/or adapt.

@dinoman16 WP doesn't automatically store the information from forms anywhere it can only send it to email so you would have to manually put the data into a spreadhseet or a database.

This really helped, trouble is I am not using the Serif Web Resources and I am struggling to understand how to apply this form to other web hosts. I want the form to send the information through my web host rather than opening the email client on the computer of the person who sent it. I know this involves scripting to make the web host recognise the form I have uploaded, but I have no idea how to!

You need to have a script in a language your host supports, something like PHP, or ASP. This tells your WP>Host what to do with the forms information.

A popular script maker is FormsToGo. Once you create the script, in WP on the form properties instead of choosing Serif Web Resources click Local Script and browse to your script. WP will upload the script when you publish the site.
