Why didn't Shri Ram Ji captured Ravan after this battle? Why did he let him go? The war could have been ended at this point and many more lives would been spared..

Unlike the mahabharat, all the weapons used here seem to be divine weapons, no normal arrow is shot.

Here's the proof where other culture is believed to have been absorbed/assimilated into Hinduism.
The worship of stone phallus still exist in Mongolia practiced by some tribe and Kirat(Indo-Mongoloid) people in Nepal also have the same practiced.
