  • seems more like a decision making tool.

  • you cannot 'think of your question' all the time while rolling the dice/coins; better send a clear cut question with the right intention to the heavens, or the power behind the oracle, just before; and than simply use coins or better rice or sticks in right faith. Only my opinion though. Trying to 'think of your question' will be quite disturbing as to what is that question actually is.

  • Hi, the oracle from "Fougis Bergère" is quite a different approach, which invites You to write Your own creative oracle. I also love the I Ching which I consulted sometimes in my live. Stop also by at fougisbergere-point-net if You like! It is funny.

  • check out my videos they are cool esp wanna die laughing/

  • you just bored the shid out of me , . you should have added cartoons and something to amuse me as your reading and has bored me so much that iam going to ask you what the hell have you been rambling on about.

  • so is the world going to end or what

  • I read the Tao te Ching in school, now I want to read the i ching

  • the bible is older then 5000 years

  • @moogleff13 eeeh.. No... it is not

  • @moogleff13 Ha! Ha! Yeah right. They had to change the king David bible after learning from China that Noah occurred after the development of man.

  • The Yi Jing can be a very powerful development tool and accurate oracle to aid one in living on earth. The keys to using it successfully on both levels is the intent of the querrant, the kind of and phrasing of the question.

It is best to be trained in the Yi by a well practiced Priest. Where one is not available it is best to get an accurate interpretation of the text. (And there are not many) Seek out Ra Un Nefer Amen's I Ching Spiritual counselor. Cross ref w/Wilhelm & Baynes & Chu Sherril.

  • @SunStance ...trained by someone who's watched many readings playout. To give your self an understanding how the oracle speaks ask it a question a day. Please comment on my day. As you live the day be mindful of keynotes of the lines and hexagrams write down these and the details of the day and you will learn much about our connection to God. keep a journal of your readings. In time you'll know what to expect when you see certain lines etc.

  • @GaleZMe see... this is what happens when people r led by their opinions and or bad info and speak on a subject as if they are an authority on it, they simply reveal thier ignorance. The Yi at its highest function is puting you in direct contact w/ the source of all, inside u, by guiding your steps of development as an oracle. The best way to study the Yi is to ask on your own development, then live the counsel recieved. It is not a fortune device but a development tool for man.

  • Use the I Ching for valuable advice and insight. Try "The Pocket Oracle"

  • well done. thank you.

  • i-douche

  • The metaphoric answers from the I-ching can appear to be greatly humorous!

  • yes usaully in the history of mankind, basic invention like lure animal farming and house begin far earlier than the first united dynasty was found. people still need to dress, eat and have place to stay whether was kings or not right??!!

  • the time of the legendary 5 SAGE in china chase back to new stone age like 5000 to 4000BC

  • that's correct. by that time, western science/technology had reached china via the central asians.

so china began agriculture 12,000 yrs ago? there is a city in northern iraq carbon-dated to 9,000BC; buildings' foundations are made of 1-tonne dressed solid rock, quarried and transported from a great distance. these massive rock foundations provided a cool, dark and secure place to store valuable trade items and was believed to have been the western terminus of the asian trade routes.

  • There is a much more complicated and authentic method using yarrow sticks.

  • There was no explanation in this video, only a lot of random ideas. If the I-ching is accurate, then what influences the coins when they are "tossed"? Also, Binary is absolute, anything in the universe is either True or false, 1 or 0, yes or no.And is the basis for any and everything that exists.

  • The random element of the coins toss is the connection to the random events of life. But are either truly random? Whatever force effects one is assumed to effect the other.

  • But what is the source of the "force" that you mention?

  • It is the Tao. By definition it can't be fully explained or fathomed but only eluded to. I suggest reading the "Tao te ching" By Laozi, Dim Cheuk Lau, it is my favorite translation. Here is another good one online: Search The Tao Te Ching

Translation by Gia Fu Feng & Jane English

  • The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.

The name that can be named is not the eternal name.

The nameless is the beginning of heaven and Earth.

The named is the mother of the ten thousand things.

Ever desireless, one can see the mystery.

Ever desiring, one sees the manifestations.

These two spring from the same source but differ in name; this appears as darkness.

    Darkness within darkness.

    The gate to all mystery.

  • these guys ROK

  • 10,000yrs? before fire and agriculture? man is much older than that. there's a city in northern iraq which carbondates to 10,000BC. the building foundations are of 1-tonne dressed rock, quarried and transported from a great distance.

the heavy foundations also served as strong-rooms for valuable trade items.

watch the youtube video on the tocharians to give you an idea of how knowledge and technology were brought from the west to the east. the basis of the i ching most likely came from the west

  • I'm both skeptic and curious about this I ching thing.... but even from a skeptic point of view, that last little point you made IS interesting! If not kinda freaky.

  • 2012 is Bullshit! that's what i think!

  • 卍, tells you, anything is, Correct, 卍? (2012)? Because 卍? Any person wants to come back

  • well done

  • I second that

  • nice, ubi and thanks. i wanted to point out that the i ching is thought to have originated during the reign of the mythical huang ti, 1rst emperor of china, who ruled @2,600 BCE, making the i ching @ 4,600 yrs old. clay fragments of "the epic of gilgamesh", of sumerian origin, are much older.

i mention this because huang ti is thought to have been a central asian invader who amalgamated the yellow river ppls into an empire. during his reign, there was an extraordinary leap in technology.

  • in other words, the science and technology which sprurred this burst of creativity most likely came with huang ti from the west, namely sumer. the central asians were conduits for all culture and techno exchanges as well as commercial trade. even china's writing system, also from huang ti's reign, was said to have been inspired by bird foot-prints in sand, a perfect description for sumerian cuneiform.

ancient china wasn't nearly as isolated as we think. trade routes have been in use for 12K yrs.

  • hey!

just curious, are the 'epics of gilgamesh' available to read? i'd like to read them but cant find it anywhere. thanx!

  • i have "the epic of gilgamesh" in paperback form.

there's a video series on utube uploaded by "helvis213"; just use the utube search engine for "epic of gilgamesh".

to find the source of the biblical cain and abel, look up tammuz, or dumuzid, the sheperd.

teh authors of the bible basicaly plagiarized sumerian and egyptian legends, replacing the original protagonists with a hebrew cast of characters.

  • The I-Ching you're watching or knowing today truly was created of about 2,600 BCE ago, but the original I-Ching was created over 10,000 years ago, before fire and agriculture were even known to human being. A passage of the I-Ching supported that.

  • That's interesting.

  • Great video... 2012 is all true.

  • thanks for this, well done

    peace n blessings

    Ken

  • und jetzt bitte auf deutsch xDDDD

can anywone explain it in german?

pls take me a message xD

  • real good essay. well, and simply explained .

  • nice lil video you made here.

  • is this Edison Chen? you really sounds like him.

  • Thank you for posting this. I find this to be the most important thing to understand about the I Ching. Random is only a word to explain something that is outside the normal understanding of predictable.

  • I wonder why the stalks are not as popular? Do you think they give a more accurate reading?

  • Shame.....he might still be alive!

  • and that means?china civilization is at lest 6k years old u do the maths

  • I have written an I Ching book that is centred around horse racing and betting. It's called Raceching and it took me over twenty five years to get it in print.

If your genuinely interested, i will send a copy to you free of charge. However, i stress, only if this appeals to you. There is nothing - and i mean nothing - remotely like it in print. It's ground-breaking!

    Race!

  • let me get that racheching

  • Jammin'

  • bob marley lol don't worry about a thing cuz every lil thing is going 2 alright

  • I believe a good thing the IChing has taught me is to become less rigid and more open minded, because it's like a concept that keeps changing, so you cant treat it like a gospal reading, because of this change, it forces you to see into the present, it does not rest on lorals and stay the same, it makes you tune in to the present experiece of things.

I liked what you said that the relationship was with yourself and a higher experience, not the book and the coins, I agree.

  • Thank you for posting this video! I will subscribe right away and hope to see some more of you in the near future!

    All the best!

  • I have groked I Ching since 1968 when I first got John Blofeld's translation. I used bamboo skewers because I didnt have yarrow stalks, but it worked just fine anyway. Sometime around 1988 I wrote my first computer program to "throw the sticks" for me, within a few years added John Blofeld's entire text (a good friend collaborated) and by 1995 I had added code to save the question, and the oracle's response. Since I was asking questions about future, now I look back...from that future.

  • blessings

  • you sound riduQloss please work on not sounding like a dweeb please. other wise good

  • I am a dork to the bone.

  • @ubiavatar Dorks, ultimately, rule the world.

  • @ubiavatar That is a great answer to the question.

  • @cheerupemokid8888

maybe you should work on accepting others how they are ?

  • Very insightful essay, thank you for your effort.

  • the i ching does help before & after like summary of some kind this book belongs to the chinese no wonder the chinese far more advance than the west....?

  • before i went to college i had to decide whether to stay with my current band or go off to school- the i ching helped me out tremendously by pretty much refrasing my dilemma.

    Its REAL
