2. Never pet them when they're frightened or excitable. Because we never did this ours is never a scaredy cat about anything and her excitement is kept to a minimum. If you encourage the excitement it can lead to dominance - which leads to aggression.

3. Always be calm and assertive with your pup and always aim to get your pup to be in a calm and submissive state. Basically, calmly let your dog know in NO uncertain terms that you are in charge.

Hi Sara! My puppy is just 6 months - we had her from very young too. We watched the entire Caesar Milan Series one which our neighbour lent to us. Although the series is about problematic dogs we learnt so much from it - the main thing being how a dog sees the world rather than thinking of them as a mini human. I thought I'd give you the best tips which really worked!

1. Use a key word every time they do a wee. This seems like it'll have no impact but it absolutely does! Now mine goes on cue!
