SRV is a showman but i venture to say that he would act the same way if he never played for anyone but himself. It seems like that guitar is a part of him. He feels his music and his soul flows through that guitar and i get chills listening to him play with such pure talent. We are listening to his heart and soul
this stands out to me as the most incredible performance ever recorded. I really can't put it into words. you'll find the same song and rap from some of his other shows on youtube but this one was just pure magic. Just a few tidbits about this that you may not know. The picture editor cut out some of the song in the front. At the end Stevie says "you know I really mean that stuff"
this performance is exactly why SRV is my favorite..the man poured his heart and soul in to every performance, but holy hell...he was on FIRE in this performance!! seems like he wasnt sure if he got his point across with the speech, so he let his guitar drive it home with that last solo.... i was only 9 when he died, but i still wish i could have seen him play..dvd's help, but i can only imaging what it would have been like live! rest in piece stevie!

It was maybe a combination of the incredibly emotional music, the beautiful speech, and the fact that we all just miss Stevie so much. Hell, I was born four years after he died, and I'm just bawling.

SRV is a showman but i venture to say that he would act the same way if he never played for anyone but himself. It seems like that guitar is a part of him. He feels his music and his soul flows through that guitar and i get chills listening to him play with such pure talent. We are listening to his heart and soul

this stands out to me as the most incredible performance ever recorded. I really can't put it into words. you'll find the same song and rap from some of his other shows on youtube but this one was just pure magic. Just a few tidbits about this that you may not know. The picture editor cut out some of the song in the front. At the end Stevie says "you know I really mean that stuff"

this performance is exactly why SRV is my favorite..the man poured his heart and soul in to every performance, but holy hell...he was on FIRE in this performance!! seems like he wasnt sure if he got his point across with the speech, so he let his guitar drive it home with that last solo.... i was only 9 when he died, but i still wish i could have seen him play..dvd's help, but i can only imaging what it would have been like live! rest in piece stevie!

That's a good way of putting it. I cried, and I'm not afraid to admit it.
It was maybe a combination of the incredibly emotional music, the beautiful speech, and the fact that we all just miss Stevie so much. Hell, I was born four years after he died, and I'm just bawling.
