  • Dear Expert Village,

Please stop giving people foolish ideas. I know He said to have an expert present but a lot of people think they can become experts themselves just by watching a short video. This is worse than your "beginning tattooing tips".

  • @lexigore,

You have no idea. everybody needs to learn something before they try it. That's why we use youtube in that case. Perhaps you might be a one who knows everything from birth.

  • If someone has to consult youtube about how to train an attack dog, they probably shouldn't be training an attack dog.

  • So what is the trick to teaching your dog what and when a threat is and isnt. say a family member has alwayys been nice but one day they go bad. How do you teach your dog to attack some one they know. How do you teach them how to identify a real threat? I don't want my dog barking at every person that comes by but I do want him to know when a person is a threat. Again how do you teach your dog the difference? It is easy to tach a dog new tricks but this one baffles me.

  • they all just talk the same .. not telling the trick ..

  • thnx for nothhing

  • how to teach a dog not to bite everyone but only the burglars and people like that???

  • Nice he was using a rottweiler

  • Don't teach a dog to be aggressive - rather, train your dog to "act." When an actor on television starts yelling or crying, they usually aren't really mad or sad, they are just acting. Teach your dog to show his teeth, growl, or bark at someone using a cue. This way you can still feel that you have protection in the case of an emergency without stressing your dog out.

  • Ya like that was SO helpful

    lol

  • my dog was naturally born trained hes a boxer boston terrier pit bull and if we dont allow sombody to come in then he'll get ready to attac but if we allow them in he runs to them with a toy wanting to play

  • i know my pitbull will try to attack a person throuch the fence but i dont know if he would actually bite someone

  • the only people that should be teaching dogs to attack is the police ... inexperienced people should not even be thinking to make a lethal weapon out of a dog... ...thats why there are so many stupid people out there not looking after there dogs probably and to put this sort of stuff on u tube is stupid ...this is probably why so many people are in dog fighting

  • wow your video was so useless, I hope you get raped...

  • you suck..

  • This Should be " TITLED " TRAINING ATTACK DOG TIPS. The " HOW -TO part of the TITLE is very misleading. BOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!

  • What fool trains a dog to attack them

  • i thought that you needed 11 kills

  • NOOO this sucks i wanted to know how to train my dog to attack on command, so i could be all like. PUGSLEY USE BITE!! like in pokemon

  • wow, what a misleading title. Flagged.

  • u just keep blabbing some waste thing.... u better go to political speeches.. u told nothing

  • change the title of this video.

  • He is advising more to acquire a professional services rather than to teach anything.

  • @janelle347 Get the book: Manstopper

  • @janelle347 no thats because you are supposed to go to a professional. He emphasizes that a lot in this video. Training them by yourself is not only stupid its not worth the risk. Sometimes you think you are doing the right thing when really you are ruining your dogs chance of ever being a safe and reliable protection dog.

  • wanker

  • Comment removed

  • how does this help us?

  • @MrAmericanboss why???

  • my pomeranian protected me from a rotweiller

  • @hiperanimallover What happened..was the rottweiler busy eating your dog while you ran away???lol! Kidding.

  • @bunkman64 no actually he ran in circles and growled at him while his owner arrived

  • listen dick ed u don't tell us anything we need to know

  • umm I beg to differ on the "many people think cause your dog loves you they'll protect you" comment I have 6 dogs the most protective one at the moment is my 13 Year old Chihuahua we found her she almost got ran over by a bus she protects me from people she even knows if you jump at me she bites you simple as that I have 2 AB's i'm working on right now

  • @jahsimalonzo lmfaooooooooooo

  • Noob

  • This idiot really pisses me off...

Takes long time of training .... dammm I expected one min .. thanks

Get a Professional .... dammm I thought you was one, thanks for the warning.

Liability .... Your breating isn't that one... if you can train a dog to that level Im sure you would have a clue on dog behavior ... thanks expert village another excellent video for the mentally handicapped..

  • Another Misleading Title to this BS video .. should be titled ... Do and Donts ... I would not use this idiot if he is misleading on his videos .. he could be misleading

in other facets of your dog training .. once a bullshitter always a bullshitter ... keep that in mind...

  • The title "How to train an attack dog" is innappropriate for this video. It was only an advise to owners who may want their dogs trained as protection dog

  • nice

  • i would like to hire you or someone you have working for you... I live colse enough to Utah please contact me back I have also contacted another trainer but he too is far away I can't find anyone near my own town.. I am going to push the like button so you will have me on your face book... thanks please write soon I will inbox you!

  • A lot of the expertvillage videos on dog training doesnt really teach anything, its more like they just show one aspect, in this video all they did was define prey and defense thats it. Also, dog is biting with its front teeth and with a minimal amount of pressure this shows the dog will release when push comes to shove.

  • ass hole

  • This is stupid. It should be more of, "please don't train your dog how to attack if there isn't a professionalism. Retarded video.

  • just wasted 1.30 minutes of our life...

  • @gohan2oo6 ya we did

  • that means you don't wanna show us any tip for free, do ya?

  • i thought the dog is never supposed to bite "Your Sleeve"

    doesnt that screw them up

  • This dumb guy doesn't even give you tips on how to train your dog. Instead, it takes him almost 1 minute and 30 seconds to give us advice on choosing a trainer to train your dog. What an idiot!! He didn't tell me anything that I don't know.

  • thanks for all the amazing info...

  • just get a gun

  • just get a sheppy. lol jp. but yeah shouldn't the training be as realistic as possible? don't look like that in the vid

  • have a trainer teach u how to train a guard dog not youtube guys. LOL

  • no were in here does this guy tell you how to do it ?

  • I think they are just trying to convey the extremely important point that you should only train an attack dog if you know exactly what you are doing.

  • you don't even tell us anything we need to know

  • @zrobe He distinctly says it needs to be done by someone who is trained and certified to do this.

  • @zrobe If you were actually listening to the guy, and if you bothered reading the info you'd see he keeps saying to consult a professional, especially one who know your particular breed of dog. Training a dog to attack and protect isn't so simple that you could learn it from a youtube video, there are trained folks who take up the task for a reason. It's incredibly dangerous (which is yet ANOTHER thing he mentions in the video)

  • train dog if you are a trainer. thats all you get from this VIDEO!!! y ?Y?

  • i want a dobbie or a rottie so bad, don't get me wrong i love my dog but you can't really expect too many ppl to be scared of a cockapoo lol. I'm finally out of the house and at college for the first time and wish we could have pets in the dorms so i could have one. I know exactly what i want and how i'd keep it i just don't have a place for it

  • i like training my dog i wish i can on my own

  • i like dogs. big or small. and it will be cool to train it

  • in my experience i have train dogs to protect thru play and tug not through fear or aggression a happy dog will obey with carfull training most dogs if tought properly love to play this and there for you will get a nice full grip not tearing the flesh, my rottie is pp trained and is a family member and also loves children and strangers just as if she was a labrador early socializing is a massive massive must if you wish to teach your dog to protect and also the dog must be obiedience

  • any fool can teach a dog to bite, to teach a dog to stop is another thing.

  • yes I would like to teach a dog how to stop biting another person after I told them to attack the threat, but only if the threat is immobilized and I wouldn't want the dog to kill the person just making evade an option....and I don't think any "fool" can teach a dog to bite

  • @totallyaussiemaddog I dunno how to train my kelpie to attack a stranger, he jumps on every1 he sees i need help

  • @LilShifty69- lol @refuel829 - mate, your dog is too young to teach or expect any confident protection. At his age get him use to basic commands and random people and children and ruff play like tuff-of-war as a reward. Wait for him to show signs of territorial or protective traits before you start that type of training. Your breed will be at least 2 years old before this type of advanced training. Any effort to do it before he is ready will retard his confidence and better judgement.

  • @totallyaussiemaddog !!EXACTLY!!

  • I like your presentation in this video & the dog.

  • uh maweeha lets look at it this way if someone broke into your house and were to hurt you and know one else was around but your dog wouldnt you expect the dog to protect you i'm assuming so. so in that case get real.

  • Actually, I would hope to put my dog away where it wouldn't get hurt too; why should both of us get clobbered? If my dog helped I'd be grateful but I would not train it to bite anyone as I think that is a misuse of the dog. Each of us has to defend our own self in this world w/o co-opting some innocent to do that job for us. I approve of using dogs for finding victims under rubble, earthquakes, etc bec I think the dog likes it, but not to be used in violence.

  • Nice video Ty. Good looking dog also.

  • It seems wrong to teach a dog to attack or bite, a misuse of the animal; a dog that doesn't bite is a good citizen just like the guy who doesn't rob or kill; dogs who don't bite probably feel safe in the world; don't see others as a threat; imagine if everyone were like that? End of wars? So many dogs that bite get away from their owner & often it's a child who gets the impact of the long hrs of training the dog to attack.

  • You have missed the point. PPT dogs are not mindless agressive beast. They are highly trained and realy friendly pets up until they are commanded to defend their owner. Having done their duty, they are happy to revert back to being just another loverable pet. The fact is, its far better to have a PPT dog in your house than an untrained agressive mut.

  • Both positions are correct in a way some dogs will bite straight off the bat, and some need to be taught to take that next step. The bottom line though is that if a dog doesnt have protective instinct it wont bite.

  • PPT is not about teaching a dog to bite. The exercise is to teach the dog to hold and drag the person to the floor by the arm that is holding the weapon. The dog will instinctively increase the pressure of its grip if the person struggles or resists. For the dog, its should be nothing more than a game which he dearly wishes to win and get the praise from his owner.

  • Instinct is the inherent disposition of a living organism toward a particular behavior. The fixed action patterns are unlearned and inherited. The stimuli can be variable due to imprinting in a sensitive period or also genetically fixed. Examples of instinctual fixed action patterns can be observed in the behavior of animals, which perform various activities (sometimes complex) that are not based upon prior experience, such as reproduction, and feeding among insects.

  • this guy is so full of shit. You can't teach a dog to protect. They do or they don't simple as that. All you can teach the dog to do is play a game with you. Dogs are like people not all people grow up to be cops or soldiers or warriors or whatever term you want to use its the same way with dogs. If your dog doesn't have it, there isn't some magic button you can press to make him have protection instincts.

  • You really don't know much about dogs do you. I have taken a flight GSD bitch and with carefully constructed training and confidence building turned her into an alpha bitch. She now humps and disciplines rotwhilers and is undergoing PPT. Early signs says she is going to be a brilliant companion.

  • The points I did not miss below are how aggressive you are yourself, how much you like controlling & dominating a poor beast & what a macho trip you're on using dogs; we don't need protection from an attack dog; there's are dozens of other means to protect yourself; if your dog attacks a person w/ a weapon, the weapon will be used on the dog. Be a man & take some Bruce Lee lessons if you're so afraid of the world & believe you're going to be attacked. Stop hiding behind your house pets.

  • damn you are right!!! :D

  • A dog needs to be confident to be a PPD, but alpha has nothing to do with it. YOU should be the alpha, period. A well-trained PPD can get along great with dogs and people if there is no threat.

  • i want to buy a rotteiler and train it to attack only hearing my voice..

is that possible if someone else train it??

  • don't let anyone train your dog but you, do some research and go for it. If you train your own dog you get a much better dog in the long run. thats my 2 cents anyways.

  • thanks i know why i want it that way...so if someone thinks its wrong i dont care i have my own reasons

  • can i borrow your guys's phone?

  • he is right on the button, most dogs will not bite. untrained dogs that bite either bite out of fear or aggression. good point.

  • So the dog won't destroy any part of his body. A Rottweiler can apply around 330lbs of jaw pressure, enough to snap a human arm like a stick. If you can't tell, he's using a bite sleeve, which takes the dog bite instead of his arm taking the bite. Also, dogs are often trained to go for the arm(s) first as to injure the arm and prevent the arm from using a weapon.

  • the dog is not biting out of fear nor aggression, he's biting in prey, he's playing a rough game of tug.

  • hmm, watched this expecting someone giving dangerous advice! pleasantly surprised!
