Have you tried that with a more standard length barrel? It looks like it works great with a shorty but most of us cant buy the short barrels. Thoughts?
I like it. I don't know if I like it $30 worth, but I like it. I could do the same thing with old sling parts and a Grimloc for about $5. Still, a pretty nifty idea.
A modified version would be great for wilderness backpacking in bear country. One always needs to keep hands free while climbing or bushwacking, but still have a weapon easily accessible in case you cross paths with an aggressive bear. Until I saw this video I hadn't come up with a practical solution so was always compromising either safety or freedom of movement. Excellent!
Crye field pants? How is it in movement? Any gusseted crotch or something?

This is a very useful item. I've used a similar method to secure my secondary (the shotty).

@032125 I agree. It seems like a rather simple fix. And I've seen various solutions. Some even use a tiny piece of velcro to secure the weapon.
xitnez 1 year ago
@xitnez Velcro isn't going to hold a weapon securely enough during a fast rope or climbing. Prisoner handling maybe...
ITStactical 1 year ago
@ITStactical velcro handles just fine for all of the above.

@032125 Cost aside, what's great about this is speed at which you can release it. Using a Grimloc you'd get tangled up.
