@011145828 That sounds more like a software issue, which sadly is not Acer's fault. That's the fault of Windows and selling a product that doesn't always have software that is compatible. That's a different rant for a different day.
Hmm... let me see, buy a new laptop. Tear it up, just because you can. Gripe when the manufacturer/reseller/waranty provider refuses to fix it for you on them.
I'm pretty sure you missed the part where the keys were supposed to be removable. Its not my problem they built a shitty product.
And if you could read, which I'm sure you didn't, the issue has since been resolved at no cost to me, because it was a full coverage warranty, including accidental damage.
Actually I repair computers & laptos for a living. These, as well as many other models and brands of laptops, cross my desk regularly. The keys can be removed without damaging them, if you know what you are doing. Laptop manufacturers design keys so that they will remain secure but also 'pop' off before breaking if possible. Applying improper force is however going to break pretty much anything made of thin plastic no matter the design. Good thing you got an accidental damage plan!
see its not just a acer thing it can happen with any laptop
also hps arnt great ive just had to get new laptop because my hp screen is litterally coming off on the right hinge lol had to tap it all way round and its just out of warrenty lol
Yeah it's a huge problem. Because of shitty keyboard the whole notebook becomes piece of ... Sorry, but I don't think it's a such big problem to fix keoboard. Of course service isn't good it they couldn't fix it for you. And HP, I don't think they are any good, I'm typing this with HP and I don't like their quality.
I had the sam problem as you with my other laptop, and i just went to a nearby computer store and they got some new plastic attachments and fixed the kayborad and it coested about 5 bucks, so you definitly want to try that!
I wish I could listen to this rant. If only Acer's soundcards didn't suck.

You still have a chance to replace the button:
